"This place is beautiful," Padme said.
"My people gave up war, growing our culture and art. It was a good choice," she said.
"When are we meeting with the Queen?" Anakin asked.
"We're on our way right now. It would go faster if we take a sight-seeing trip later," she hinted to Rafa and Trace. They giggled guiltily, catching up with the group.
"Welcome to Shili, everybody," Ahsoka said, entering the palace. The guards turned to attention as the Queen descended from the stairs, sitting on the throne.
"Greetings, travelers. I am Queen Elarec Yovet. Ahsoka has told me much about you."
"She has?" Anakin looked toward Ahsoka. She stayed silent, stepping forward. Tension was thick in the room.
"Hello, Grandmother," Ahsoka stepped up to the throne. Gasps came from behind her.
"Ahsoka is..." Anakin whispered.
"A princess, yes. I have a bit of explaining to do," she said, blushing.
"Yes, you do," Padme said, putting her hands on her hips.
"This gown," she started, taking her robe off. "It belonged to my birth mother. She died on Kadavo, when Obi-Wan was captured by the Zygerrians. My father died there as well."
"I could have done something. I'm sorry, Ahsoka," Obi-Wan said.
"It's okay. I found out from the Governor. He gave me this. He said that my mother wanted me to have it. But, I was captured by bounty hunters because of... Master Plo found me and brought me to the Temple. I only found out I was a princess after our mission. And that was a year ago." The Queen set her hand on Ahsoka's shoulder.
"My daughter fled the Palace, not wanting to live the royal life. She and her husband had a child. When Ahsoka was kidnapped, they came to me. I reached out to the Jedi Order. Master Plo Koon found you and took you to the Temple. I heard you saved our people from the Zygerrians. I saw you dance at the celebration and knew that you were the one. The one to carry on my kingdom. It is time for you to fulfill your royal duties and take on the role of Queen of the Togruta, ruler of the Kiros system." Ahsoka gasped, backing away from the Queen. She ran back to the ship in tears. She collapsed on the couch, crying. A gloved hand rubbed her back.
"Leave me alone. I can't do this!" she sobbed.
"You have the strength. You just need to use it," a clone's voice calmed.
"Hunter? No, don't kill me! I'm your friend!"
"Kill you? What in the Galaxy are you talking about?" he asked, sitting down. She crawled up, leaning onto him.
"At the diner? You nearly killed Anakin. I knocked you and Rex out. I guess I hit him a little too hard," she forced a chuckle.
"I don't remember that. I would never. Maybe Crosshair, but that's it," he said.
"We have a lot to catch you guys up on. We also might be gaining more men."
"What are you getting at? And where in the Galaxy are we?"
"Promise you won't hate me or treat me differently?"
"Never, vod'ika."
"Chancellor Palpatine, a Sith Lord called 'Sidious', called Order 66. It brainwashed all the clones to kill the Jedi. I knocked you and Rex out. I don't even know why you were after Caleb, Anakin and Obi-Wan. They left the Order. Yoda did too, leaving me as the Grand Master of the Jedi Order and practical leader of the entire Grand Army of the Republic. Now, my grandmother, the Queen of Shili wants me to stay here, abandon the only life I've ever known, and become Queen and I don't know what to do because too many people need me to be something I'm not even sure I can be!" she said rapidly. Ahsoka felt herself closing in as she collapsed on the couch.
