"Is she alright?" Anakin asked as Obi-Wan arrived.
"She's feeling the responsibility. And she needs a wise, loving father or mother figure to guide her," he stared at Anakin and Padme.
"Someone like the people who raised her and taught her everything," Caleb joined in. They were still confused.
"Dank Ferriak! Talk to her! She needs you both!" Obi-Wan said.
"Oh," Anakin gasped. The fanfare started and lights illuminated the streets. The crowds cheered as the leading dancers pranced in the streets.
"The tale of our people!" the announcer projected to the crowd. Several dancers emerged from the shadows.
"Our people were captured, enslaved by the Zygerrians!" Several Togruta dressed in Zygerrian clothing surrounded the performers. They dramatized the fear, screaming and falling to the ground.
"Then our saviors, the Jedi came and chased the Zygerrian slavers away!" Togruta in brown robes and fake lightsabers chased the Zygerrians away.
"Our queen, Elarec Yovet, led us to pursue art and beauty!" A parade float rolled into the streets. A small curtain covered a part of the float.
"And now, our princess has come home! Ahsoka Tano!" he announced.
Ahsoka sprung from behind the curtain with a fire dancing pole. She twirled it expertly around her body to the music. She set the stick down, dancing for the crowd. She ran past her family, smiling as they cheered. Her sleeve capes draped behind her, making the light bounce off of her and sparkle. The music ended and she bowed for the crowd as the Togruta applauded. The show lights went out and the party lights came on. Ahsoka ran to her family.
"That was amazing, Soka!" Caleb said, catching her. They kissed briefly and Ahsoka left Caleb's arms.
"When did you learn to do that?" Anakin asked.
"Life is one big dance. Let the music overwhelm you, let it flow with you. Like using the Force. You feel the Force channel through you. It's the same with music. I guess we Togruta are natural-born dancers," she chuckled, fanning her sleeve capes. "Did Rex wake up?" she asked, growing concerned.
"Not yet. He's in our guest room for now," Anakin said.
"You must have hit him pretty hard," Padme said.
"My lady, the Queen needs you," a Twi'Lek servant tapped Ahsoka on the shoulder.
"I'm on my way, Lana. I have to go, I'll see you guys tonight," she said.
"Grandchild, your performance was wonderful," the Queen said.
"Thank you, Grandmother. What did you call me for?"
"I have decided that tomorrow, you will begin your apprenticeship under me to take the throne by your 18th birthday."
"18? I-I-" she stuttered.
"You will be ready."
"But there's so much I have to do, so much out there to explore! I can't stop now," Ahsoka said.
"You will begin your studies tomorrow at first light. Is this clear?" Her tone decided that there was to be no more discussion.
"Yes, Grandmother," she sighed in defeat. "At least, allow me to make myself and my family dinner?"
"That's what servants are for, my dear."
"Grandmother, though I am the future Queen of the Kiros System, I was trained and raised as a Jedi. Our teachings call us to put others before ourselves. We have compassion for all life and-"
