So first I want to thank EVERYONE who has been reading this story. YAY you all rock!!! Kind comments have votes have been awesome. Sadly, it doesn't look good for Matt and Lucy which if you're reading Almost Easy( Zoey and Brian's story) you already know he's married to Val. BUT I already have the first couple of chapters of the sequel to this one started. I think this one has two more chapters left or maybe one...and we'll be done. Thanks again for joining the ride!

Lucy's POV

I couldn't breathe.

I felt like someone had placed a two ton boulder on my chest and just left it there so I could slowly choke to death. Dramatic I know but that's what I felt like.

I was in such a mess. I was pregnant. I was a 17 year old junior that was pregnant with the baby of a guy who was in love with someone else.

And to add insult to injury, I lied to him. Lied to him so this stupid mistake I had made didn't screw up his future.

I had no idea what I was going to do. I mean, I was young. I had all the dreams everyone else has, college and parties and life away from home.

My mom took it well. As well as it could be expected at least. She expressed disappointment. Gave me the look. But recovered nicely with the old "I'll support whatever you want to do" and my personal favorite "Maybe we could so go stay with your grandma for a while in Anaheim." At least she didn't kick me out, right? Not that I was ever afraid of that...very much.

And Matt...well...I suppose that's why I'm standing outside Val's house ringing the doorbell.

Michelle opened the door. "Oh hey...um..." she didn't know my name.

"Lucy," I said way calmer than I felt.

"Yeah that's right. Sorry. Matt's not here," she said through a smile that didn't seem fake.

I returned the smile "I know. I'm actually hoping to talk to Val?"

Her smile faltered a bit "Uh...ok...hold on a sec." She stepped away from the door and I heard her call Val and then some mumbled whisperings.

Val came to the door, a blank expression on her pretty face. She had no makeup and was dressed in a tshirt and running shorts. Not at all that different from me. Except she wasn't pregnant. Thanks for reminding me, I told myself.

"Lucy." She said curtly.

I cleared my throat. "Hi Val, can I talk to you for a few minutes?"

"Here?" she asked, still in a short tone but she was curious too.

"How about outside?" I said not sure I wanted to enter the Dibenedetto sacred shrine.

"Okay," she replied stepping out barefoot.

They had a small bench in their front yard and we sat there. Good. At least if we were in the front, I wouldn't be tempted to cry for the hundredth time today. And she wouldn't be tempted to slap me if she felt inclined to do so.

"What's this about?" she asked as she sat across from me.

I sat at the opposite end and took a deep breath "I need to talk to you about Matt."

"Matt?" she asked, her voice climbing a bit "What about him? Did you come to brag?"

I put my hand up to stop her "No not at all. That's not what I want. I want to tell you...that he loves you."

Her eyes widened "What?"

"He loves you very much and he wants to be with you. He was really jealous when you started dating Mark."
