Lucy's POV

Mark fidgeted nervously, something I hadn't seen him do ever.

"How are you, darling?" he drawled hoarsely.

"I'm doing great." I replied.

"Are you?" he asked but didn't wait for me to reply "I just wanted to make sure you were ok."

"I'm great actually. Where's your girlfriend tonight?" I asked looking around to make sure she wasn't going to assault me from behind.

He turned nervously to scan the area around me almost as if confirming my thoughts "Uh, she's around."

"Uh huh, that's great. I'm glad you two are very happy together."

That's when Mark did something weird; he reached over to touch me. "Look Lucy, that's not really why I wanted to talk to you."

I jerked my arm away abruptly. "Please don't do that."

But he didn't listen to me, he never has...why would he start now "I miss you Lucy."

"I-I..."was all I could manage before I noticed Matt walking towards us.

"Hey. There you are. I was worried." he exhaled as he pushed past Mark and came around to me, putting his arm around my shoulder, which is the human male equivalent of a dog peeing on his territory.

Mark pulled his arm back and glared at Matt's arm around me.

"Hey. I don't think we've formally met yet, Mick, right??" Matt said firmly extending his other hand for Mark to shake.

"Mark. My name is Mark." He replied shaking Matt's hand briskly. I felt nauseous watching them interact and a bit like I was having an out of body experience.

"I'm Matt."

"I know who you are, Matt Sanders," Mark growled.

"I hate to interrupt but I need to steal Lucy away for a second." Oh thank you Matt.

Finding my voice finally "Sure, let's go."

Mark reached for my arm "Luce, don't go. I really need to finish talking to you."

Matt reacted abruptly pushing me out of his reach. I stumbled a bit. I could feel my heart pounding.

"We're aren't finished yet." Mark said directly at me.

Matt stepped between us "I'd say that you're done."

Mark didn't back down "I didn't know you owned her."

"I don't. No one owns her but I know she doesn't want to talk to you." Matt said through his clenched jaw.

"How do you know what she wants?" Mark spat back

"I know what she wants in a way you never will." Matt sneered as he bowed up to Mark.

Oh my God, they are going to fight...over me. This cannot be happening but yet, it is. And I was scared to death but thrilled as well, how often do two hot guys fight over you?

Regaining my wits, I grabbed Matt's arm and tugged him from behind. "Sanders, let's go. C'mon...let's get out of here."

In the distance, I heard Val's shrill voice call "What's going on here? Mark? Matt? What are you doing?"

Matt turned at the sound but I touched his face with my hand and he snapped out of whatever male fighting trance he was in. "Let's go."

He blinked as if unsure for a second and nodded slowly as Val approached Mark and they were absorbed into the background noise.

Matt's POV

I let Lucy lead me away. The expression on her face was one of horror. I had ruined it for her. She had a chance to talk to the guy she was in love with and I ruined it. That's probably why she looked so pissed.

You have to fix this, Sanders. You have to help her...if you love....I mean if you're friends, you need to help her get that jerk back.

I stopped in my tracks and she turned when she felt resistance.

"What are you doing?" she asked surprised.

I pulled her close to me, as if we were dancing and I whispered in her ear "Trust me."

She looked up at me with those beautiful clear blue eyes and nodded slightly.

I lowered my head and pressed my lips to hers.

I kissed her.

Lucy was taken aback. Her lips froze as I continue to suck on her bottom lip. I could tell she was about to pull away, and most likely beat me up for ruining her chance with dumbass and then trying to make out with her but I wouldn't have any of it. This was for her and that douchbag. I cupped her face as I placed my other hand on the small of her back and held her to me.

I guess she finally connected the dots. It was a ploy to make him jealous. I could feel her lips curve into a smile as she met me in a long, hard, passionate kiss. With her now in on the plan, I could take it to the next level. I grazed my tongue on her lip, asking for entrance. She froze for only a second before I felt her part her lips. She tasted sweet and I couldn't help but deepen the kiss. Our arms were pulling each other close. Our hands were uncertain on where to be, but grasped whatever they could. The full lengths of our bodies were leaning into one another. My hands were on her waist and started to gently circle on her back. Her hands were in my hair. Our lips and tongues danced with music, meeting with the same urgency in the guitar.

As we pulled away from each other for air, her hands on the nape of my neck and mine on her waist, we looked into each other eyes, panting. I turned to see Harrison's reaction, giving him a smirk.

He was there, in the same spot with Val pulling on his arm and jawing in his ear. Glaring. And I swear to God he had steam coming out of his ears. Great job, Sanders. You totally made up for ruining her chance before...he's completely jealous. Just the reaction we were looking for.

What I didn't expect, however, was Lucy's reaction...
