Chapter Cover: Eve standing back to back with Gajeel as the symbol of Phantom was on a banner above them.

It didn't take us long for us to get out of the underground place of the church and soon enough we were already back inside the old church again, and Elizabeth was carrying the wooden case that contained the Scepter. I can see the Ankh symbol of the Magic Council upon it's form. It didn't look like it had been opened since it was still wrapped in the same clothe that I had seen it in Elianna's brother vision.

"The Scepter's power will be enough to destroy that Servant that has been killing your family," I told her.

Elizabeth nodded.

"Yes," she said, looking down at it, "I can't believe something like that is finally happening. I had all but lost hope to find something that could help me but...here is my answer right in my hands."

"Can you even use that thing?" Natsu asked, "Don't you have to be a wizard to be able to do so."

Elizabeth thought about it.

"I don't think so," she said, "The Scepter has its own power otherwise no one would have ever been able to correctly use it."

"Will it really be okay to use that thing?" Lucy asked, "You know how powerful it is."

Elizabeth nodded.

"Yes," she said, "It's the only way I have to destroy that thing that has been hunting me since I was a child. While no one that it had killed will come back to life...but I will carry the memories of it alone and will be the sole person in the entire world who will know that truth."

"Are you prepared to carry that burden?" Erza asked.

The redhead had come to a stop as she turned her gaze toward Elizabeth. The young woman stared at her inquisitively almost like she was trying to see right through her but Elizabeth met the gaze evenly. I must say I was a little impressed by her. Elizabeth was no longer hiding herself behind that easy going smile that she had during our first meeting. She was letting her true self out and I must say, that she looked more...alive like this than whenever she had that plastic smile on.

"I wouldn't have asked for the Scepter if I wasn't ready to carry it," she answered, "I have already made my decision Erza."

The redhead let out a brisk nod and then suddenly Natsu stopped walking drawing our attention toward him.

"Hey what's up?"

"Someone's here," he said, "And it doesn't seem to be the butler."

I instantly made to stand in front of Elizabeth to protect her as the others's guard instantly went up at Natsu's warning. The church was empty as far as I could tell but then the double door at the entrance opened revealing a single man standing there. Even in the poor light that was coming from the setting sun behind him, I recognize him instantly as the same man that had greeted Elizabeth and me back at the Village of Thorns.

"You," I said narrowing my eyes.

"Someone you know Eve?" Wendy asked.

"That's the man who attacked Elizabeth and me back at the Village of Thorns," I answered.

"Then he must be the one," Erza said summoning out her sword.

The man walked into the building, looking completely relaxed despite that he was alone in front of us. He had the same small smirk upon his features as he was staring at us and then he slowly started to clap his hands together.

"You truly have outdone yourself Elizabeth," he said, "You can't imagine how happy I am to see that you have succeeded."

He placed both of his hands behind his back.
