Chapter Cover: Eve seating by herself as RuneSave lied on the ground beside her as she looked up toward the empty sky

I blinked to myself as I slowly came back to my senses. The first thing I noticed was that I was lying down upon my side on a cold hard ground. From where I was lying down, I took notice of a window and the twinkling of the stars could be seen on the blue blanket that was the night sky. Groaning softly, I pushed myself up, feeling the world dancing lightly around me as the pain that was in my head was throbbing lightly.

I cold feel something dripping from my nose so I wiped it from my shoulder and noticed the red stains that had appeared upon my clothing meaning that it was blood that had fallen down from the wound I was feeling and I can tell that my nose was also broken from how it was feeling now.

Ow...where am I?

Looking down, I noticed the cuffs that were around my wrist and I can feel how they cut off my magic meaning that I can't use any of my powers right about now. I jingled the chains for a few moments wanting to see if I could break them off but there was nothing. I let out a huff before placing my hands down upon my lap. I noticed that I didn't have RuneSave on me so I was captured by the enemy...but that was impossible right? Just how did they manage to...

Then I remember how I managed to get captured in the first place.

James...I knew he was a wizard but for him to be able to take me down like that...Did that guy got to him too?

A heavy clunking noise drew my attention as I instantly focused upon the door at the end of the room and then it swung open and two robed people walked into the room. They were armed with staff and a glowing lacrima at the end of them. Just by looking at them, they were wearing the same type of clothing that I had seen in Adam's memories...

These people...they were members of the Brotherhood of Magic.

"On your feet," one of them spoke out, "And don't try anything funny...unless you want to get hurt."

I got to my feet, staring at them curiously. I had believed that the Brotherhood had disappeared since Elianna had killed them all but then again, a secret society wasn't really going to be filled with only a few members that had been in that room when they all drunk the poison. They probably were most of the leaders from that time...

One removed the chains that I was attached me to the room but they left the cuff around my wrists and then the duo led me out of the room with one in front of me while the other kept pushing me from the back with his staff lacrima. I was walking through a corridor for a short while and then we came to an opening and I came to a stop at the entrance with my eyes wide as I stared at the expending lands that were beneath me.

Tall grass adorned the landscapes around me as I stared at the area. I stared at it for a few seconds taking in the few homes that they were before I was pushed forward by the Brotherhood member that was behind me.

"Move it," he said, causing me to stumble forward.

I turned my gaze toward the man behind me before doing as he asked. The path lead up straight toward another corridor that looked like it was carved out of from within the mountain itself. It was old that much I could tell but the craftsmanship was on point. I noticed the stone statues that were carved into the walls as well as the small candles which light the way in the darkness of the corridor.

Then we came to a stop in front of a door which the man knocked twice before entering inside. I followed after him and found myself standing in a lush room with a couch and a burning fireplace, the crackling sounds of the burning woods loud in the silence. Paintings adorned the walls, some of landscapes others of people but what drew the most attention was the large banner which bears the coat and arms of the Brotherhood.
