Crickets. [Kiibo + Gonta]

Kiibo and Gonta hung out together fairly often, nobody really knew, but nobody would really care either.

So during lunch, Shuichi was surprised to find Gonta gently tapping Kiibo on the shoulder, asking him if he wants to take a walk with him after 'eating'.

Kiibo agreed, smiling to him, then looking confused when Shuichi looked at him oddly.

"You hang out with Gonta?"
He asked, a genuine question, although it sounded a bit rude, like he had something against the entomologist.

"Yes. I think, although I am scared of, that bugs are cool. And Gonta is a fascinating person, truly."
Kiibo said analytically, looking down at the food that he could only wish to ever eat.

Shuichi chuckled softly, quietly, not loud enough for Kiibo to hear.
"Alright then."

Kiibo and Gonta went to a path that they frequently took, mainly because of the gigantic ecosystem of bugs and worms and spiders living in the bushes there.

Gonta gently picked up a green cricket, it chirped and chirped but caved and calmed down after a bit.
(which would literally never happen with a fucking cricket to my knowledge.)

"Fascinating.."
Kiibo mumbles softly, his eyes sparkling as he slowly puts his hand on his mouth.
(think like how celeste has that shocked sprite and kazuichi's excited sprite)

"You think Gonta fascinating?"
He asks, a big smile forming on his face.

"Yes.."
He murmured, staring at the cricket that was sitting in his hand.
"Which species is that..?"
He asks.

"It called, Holochlora japonica, it live in bushes in Japan."
He explains, vaguely pointing out the features and setting it down.

"Interesting.."
The robot smiled, Gonta never judged him, maybe because he was gentle and loving in nature, but didn't understand.
Which made him a great companion for the robot.

Somberness filled Kiibo's metaphorical heart after Gonta's execution.

He passed by the same path they used to go to when they went on walks.

There he saw the same type of green cricket, trapped in a spider's web, killed.

What a sad reminder of his death, and maybe it was supposed to symbolize Gonta being 'trapped' in Kokichi's web of lies.

Sigh.

Kiibo skipped dinner that night.
