Old friend

"it's so pretty, thank you. God, it'll go with, like, everything"Caroline said to me as we were walking around at school.
"what's the occasion?." she asked me.
"no occasion, just a little friend gift." I said as we sat ourselves down on the table outside.

"a lesbian-friend necklace, because we're freaky like that?." she replied to me jokingly making me laugh.
-"your friendship is important to me." I said smiling to her as I spoke the truth.
"why are you being so mushy?."

"because you've been avoiding me. And I wanted you to know that whatever is going on with you and Tyler, it's okay." I said knowing they were having a thing. She didn't know that I knew, but people talk.
"I was gonna talk to you about that , I was, but there's just not much to say . We've hung out a couple times, that's it . But— I just feel like we've peaked as friends." she said and I kinda felt happy for her, even if it was Tyler.
"this is weird, I shouldn't be talking to you about this . It's weird, it's weird . Right?." she asked me to probably be pretty sure about my opinion.

-"it's a little weird but— if it's what you and Tyler want, then it's not about me." I said as I put on a smile , that's what I meant. If they've both decided it then I can't do anything.
"but it's all about you, Tyler's not over you and we all know it." she said to me , I looked confused at her.
"I am over him anyway." I said looking down.

"hey Elena and Bonnie." I speak up when I see my sister and Bonnie over at the table, wonder why they didn't invite me or care.
"oh , Uhm, hey Maya." both of them frowns as they were doing something they didn't want me to find out.
"what were you talking about?." I curiously asked them, if they didn't tell me. They were doing some weird things again.
"oh, it's-. It was nothing." my sister jumps in before Bonnie spoke up to me.

"fine...." I say as I sit down beside him, didn't have any other things to do.
"okay, guys look. I have to go to the store." my sister says looking innocently as possible like always, she was up to something.
"my outfit for the dance is severely lacking accessories", Elena says right before she leaves.
"Okay, I'll pay the bill", Bonnie says being a good friend as always.

"Okay, bye", Elena walks away.
"Do you wanna watch a movie or something at my place?", I asked my friend hoping we could do something together.
"Yeah that'd be great", Bonnie says with her dark brown eyes looking right at me, she had very pretty eyes.
"what do you want from me?", I frowned to Damon as he stood in front of me.
"I think we need a fresh start", he says as he pulls a smirk on his face.
"You tried to rape me, and kill me ", I said forgetting Bonnie was standing right beside me.

"He what?", Bonnie said as she gave me a look and then looked over at Damon.
"Hey hey, I didn't, and if I wanted to I would already have done that", Damon said trying to not get killed considering I had a witch right by my side.
"Does that not count for anything?", he said. God I hated his voice.
"You know I can start fires with my mind. Fires kill vampires, right?, Bonnie cuts in as she looks deeply into Damon.

"Just stay the hell away from me, and everyone else", I cut in as I grabbed Bonnie's arm about to leave.
"Everything okay over here?", a man came and asked. Ben McKittrick He had dark brown hair, a very pretty smile.  he was super hot. Almost everyone had , had a crush on that guy once.
"Yeah we're fine", Damon says not letting me or Bonnie speak.

"I wasn't talking to you",Ben said as he smiled over at me, I smiled back to be polite.
Damon backed away.
"Thank you", Bonnie said smiling.
"Anytime, Bonnie", he said , it surprised me. They knew each other. Well obviously we went to school with him.

"Wait, you remember me?"bonnie says , she got this big smile on her face.
"I didn't graduate that long ago, you're making me feel old, Ben said, they both started laughing.
"no. I'm sorry, I didn't— I didn't mean that. I just— I didn't know you knew me" Bonnie says as her smile faded but it wasn't in a bad way.
"I always know a pretty face like you Bennet and Gilbert" he said as he took a look over at me, staring into my soul.

I just smiled to be polite.

We were soon going to the 50's dance, I had to look for an outfit, I had plenty. I didn't know which one of them. I had to look perfect, usually i would look like trash but like parties. Then I would dress up nicely as possible.
I looked through my party dresses, tried on multiple I had. I was going alone though, hopefully I would meet someone.
After an hour of looking through my clothes I finally found something.
I took on some black tights, a colorful, like rainbow color. It was pretty, not like ugly , but it was pretty. And a carpenter shorts, in a color red. And black boots going to my knees.

I curled my hair, and put on two clips, at the side of my head. So my hair was up and not falling in my face all the time. I chose some beautiful ear piercings.

It matched pretty cute.
"Stefan!", I heard downstairs , it sounded like Elena. I ran downstairs to check if she was okay.
"Elena?" , I asked slowly as I went down, luckily I saw Elena and Stefan hugging.
"What happened? I heard you scream?" I asked my sister. "A vampire tried to attach me", she answered shortly.

"Well how'd he get in?", Damon asked as Elena was telling about what just happened to me and Damon.
"He was invited in", Elena said as she looked over at me, I had no idea.
"He posed as a pizza delivery guy last night", Stefan told us.

"Well he gets points for that ", Damon being Damon , typical. "Did he say what he wanted?" Damon asked shortly after.
"No, he was too busy trying to kill me", Elena said sharply. "And you have no idea who this is?", Stefan asked his brother.
"No."

"Don't look at me like that. I told you we had company ", Damon says making his point. "You think there's more than one?" Elena says.
"We don't know"
"Damon he was invited in",Stefan says. Meaning he could get here whenever he wanted.
"Then we go get him tonight ",Damon says.

"You up for it?" ,Damon says asking Elena. For once he asks for consent. "What do I have to do?." Elena responds.
"Let your boyfriend take you to the dance. We'll see who shows up",Damon says. "That's a bad idea",Stefan tells us.
"Worth a try at least ", I said jumping into the Conversation as my sister nods to my answer.

"Till we get him, this house isn't safe. For anyone who lives in it", Damon responded as he looked right into me. "It's worth a shot like Maya said"
"Eh not exactly what I said", I said correcting him.
"What do you mean? You said exactly like that", Damon says as he looks confused at me.

"I said "it's worth a try" you said "it's worth a shot" so not exactly ", I said as I joked around. "Fuck you Gilbert". Damon said making Stefan and Elena laugh.
"I'll do it", Elena says.

"I'll be with the two of you, I'll be safe", Elena says to Stefan, he was being overprotective again.
