Backstabbing

"I forgot about the bonfire.", I approached Caroline. "You have to go. It's our first spirit squad event. And it sets the bar for the whole year—", Caroline went on.

"Relax, Caroline. I'll be there.", I answered putting on a laugh to make the situation better. "Thank you it's just that—", Caroline says before Tyler comes in kissing her in front of me.

"Happy first day.", Tyler says to his girlfriend. "Is that blood?.", i questioned my ex when I saw some blood dot on his shirt.

"Oh, my god.", Caroline says dragging both me and Tyler into the boy's bathroom. "What's going on?", Tyler questioned confused.

"Vampire 101. Don't wear your breakfast to school.", Caroline says shaking his shoulder. "Chill. Our it was a blood bag.", Tyler answered.

"From where?", Caroline hisses back. "Rebekah hooked me up.", Tyler replies.

"Rebekah?", Caroline says confused. "And what are you even talking to her for?.", Caroline adds.

"Klaus told her to keep watch on me. Protect his new asset.",Tyler answered confidently. "His what? Why are you amused by this?.", Caroline questioned him.

"I'm his first successful hybrid Caroline. Don't you think that's awesome?.", Tyler replies smiling. "Wow. I cannot believe you just said that.", Caroline rolls her eyes at him.

"So, I'm gonna go. Good luck.", I say to both of them before I leave as I see Tyler admiring my body, yeah no thanks.

"Hello, Maya.", Stefan says as I meet him out of the bathroom. "What are you doing here?", I asked confused.

"I'm going back to school. Go Timberwolves.", Stefan replies. "What? Why?", I asked because that was definitely not the reason.

"Klaus wants me to keep an eye ye on you. I'm doing what I'm told.", he tells me. "I'm late for class", I quickly say before going away. "Class is this way.", Stefan says as he grabs me.

"Let go of me,Stefan.", I quickly hissed at him. "Maya, do you think I wanna be a senior for the hundredth time? No. But if I don't have a choice in the matter, neither do you.", Stefan answered me.

"I said let go of me." I hisses when he was still holding tight to me. "Let her go." I heard from Tyler, when I see Caroline and him behind Stefan.

"Stefan, stop it." I slightly hissed as Tyler was pushed into the walls making other students look at them.

"You're not gonna want to get in my way, okay, Tyler? I will see you all three in history.", Stefan says as he happily leaves.

"What the hell? How did I get home?", Tyler wakes up. I was still drunk, my thoughts weren't right exactly. "I brought you here. You were being a d-bag to care.", I answered crossing my arms.

"What is your problem?", he hisses at me. "My problem is you've been sired. Do you know what that means? You put Klaus' needs first. He's your master.", I explained shortly.

"I'm not anyone's pet, Maya. He doesn't control me.", he hissed back to me. "Well something controlling you. Don't know why else you're acting like the old you.", I answered thinking about when he was a dick before.

"The old me?.", Tyler questioned me confused. "Yeah, the old you. The pre-werewolf you. The obnoxious you that I would never be friends with." I answered as I stumbled in the room a bit drunk still.

"Wait, wait, wait. I am sorry, I don't want to be that guy. I hated that guy.", Tyler explains shortly to me. "You're a vampire now, Tyler. Everything about your personality is heightened. So you have to be careful, especially to care. She's emotional you know that." I answered knowing he had hurt care.

"I will, I promise. Just don't hate me.", he told me as he handled his hands around my face holding it.

"Everything I like about me is you.", he said and I felt bad, this wasn't good. He was Caroline's boyfriend not mine.

He kissed me.

"Ty..." I said pushing him slightly back, I knew this was bad. He was cheating, on my best friend. "What?" He questioned me confused.

"You're with Caroline , not me." I answered looking guilty down. "I know but my feelings, I have always loved you. I can't loose you.", he answered me as we both looked at each other.

He leaned again kissing me, I kissed back. I grabbed my arms around his neck, as he folded his hands over my hips.

"You're still the same, running out.", he told me as I tried to find my clothes about to leave. No one could find about this.

"You have to earn the overnighter.", I replied sarcastically to him. "I consider that a challenge.", he replied back to me.

"Bye." I said softly to my ex boyfriend. "Bye.", he answered back softly giving me a kiss.

I walked home drunk, messy hair. Messy makeup all over my face. Guilty, it was all I thought about. Why am I like this? I wouldn't like if Caroline did it to my boyfriend.

I am a horrible friend, I don't deserve her. I wish I died that one night. God, why am I so stupid. Going after other's boyfriends? I am a horrible human being.

Tears leaving my eyes, the worst of it was I wanted to feel more I wanted more. But I care about Caroline, she's my best friend. I can't? But after all he is my ex.

I just wish I could forget all this, this cannot happen again no matter what I wanna feel again. I have to move on, forget about my feelings for Tyler. I'll always love him but I have to get over it.

It's the only way I can go through this.
