«I'm meeting with the others at the grill, I said as I was about to leave , me and Elena was gonna leave together but she was taking forever."

"okay have fun." my aunt said but stopped to say something else to me.
"wait. I got this. Don't stay out late, it's a school night." she answered as I put on a laugh.
"well done, Aunt Jenna." I replied as we both left.

I went to open the door as the new guy was at the door, if I'm not wrong I heard Bonnie say he and my sister had some chemistry , I don't know.
"oh." I said surprised.
"sorry, I was about to knock." he said , I probably should get Elena.

"I wanted to apologize for my disappearing act earlier I know it was strange." he said and I had no idea what he was talking about, but I guess he didn't know about me, it would get hella awkward so I just played with.
"no worries I get it." I said not knowing what he was talking about.
"how's your leg?." he asked me, shit.

"oh, it's fine. Just a scratch, barely" , I said trying my hardest to pretend to be Elena.
"how did you know where I lived?."I asked.
"it's a small town, I asked the first person I saw." he said to me.

"I thought you might want this back." he said as he gave me Elena's diary.
"I must have dropped it, I— thank you", I said as she probably just left it somewhere with an accident.
"don't worry I didn't read it." he said.
"no? Why not? Most people would have", I said as I would have read my sister's if I found her., as I acted surprised.

"well, I wouldn't want anyone to read mine"he responded ." you keep a journal?, I asked.

"If I don't write it down, I forget it", he said quickly.

"memories are too important." he said to me and that's when my sister came downstairs.

"have you seen Maya?." I heard in the background as she looked for me.
"yeah she's in the door talking with someone." aunt Jenna said.
"oh okay."

"hey Maya who you—." my sister said as she came to see who I was talking to.
"oh Stefan." she said as she put on a smile.
"wait which one of you is Elena?." he said confused.
"I am?." my sister said hella confused.

"oh god Maya you did it again didn't you?." she said as she laughed as she looked at me.
"I'll wait outside." I said as I left not wanting it to be awkward.
"I thought she was you."Stefan said To Elena as he pouted to Maya. "Yeah she does that sometimes".Elena said.

"how's Elena doing?." Matt asked me as we waited for the others to arrive.
"mom and dad died how do you think? She's putting on a good face. It's only been four months". said as I knew she was doing the exact same thing as me.

"has she said anything about Me?." Matt asked as they had broken up when mom and dad died.

"oh, no so not getting in the middle. You call her." I said as I didn't want anything drama."I feel weird calling her. She broke up with me." Matt said as I could hear pain in his voice.

"give it more time, Matt." I said and like 5 seconds later my sister and Stefan walked inside." more time, huh?." Matt turned around to me.

I gave him a awkward smile.

I looked over at my sister gave me a look as I see Matt walking over.
"wait Matt no." I said trying to stop him as I knew my sister wanted me to do something but he wasn't listening.
"hey I'm Matt, nice to meet you."Matt said as he introduced himself.

"hi, Stefan", Stefan said as they shakes hands.
"hey, Elena." He says as she smiled happily.
"hey, Matt" Elena answered nervously.

"so you two are twin sisters?." Stefan asked me as Elena was at the toilet." yeah, I'm sorry for pretending to be Elena I just do that , so that it won't get awkward when people mistakes us." I said as I laughed nervously a bit.

"it's okay, what was your name again?."he said pointing at me." Maya, yours Stefan right?."I said to be 100% sure.

"yeah that's right." he said and Elena finally came.
"you ready?."she said as I raised myself while they went to the others as I fallowed behind them.

"I moved when I was still young." Stefan explained himself.
"parents?." she went on with the Questions.
"my parents passed away." he said as we all looked over at him and Elena.

"I'm sorry any siblings?." Elena said calmly.
"none that I talk to." he said as he smiled."I live with my uncle".

"so Stefan. If you're new. You don't know about the party tomorrow." Caroline broke the silence.
"it's a back-to-school thing at the falls." Bonnie explained.
"are you going?."Stefan asked Elena as he stared into her soul.

"of course she is." I said as I put my arm over my sister smiling.
