Chapter 7

The Next Morning, I Had Gotten Daniel Off To School And I Tried To Go Back To Sleep, But It Was No Use. I Laid In Bed And Watched Music Videos Until The Late Afternoon.

I Finally Got Up, Took A Shower, And Started My Day. I Wasn't Feeling So Hot, But I Ignored It. I Called Kristina And Invited Her To Go Grocery Shopping With Me And Tell Her What's Been Happening The Last Few Days.

"So Let Me Get This Straight. You Had Sex With Roman And Then Went Out With Markus?" She Asked Laughing. I Nodded.

"It's Not Funny! I Feel Bad." I Said. She Just Shook Her Head. We Were Shopping In Walmart When I Seen Roman's Supposed To Be Baby Mama, Lisa.

"That's The Girl He Supposedly Got Pregnant." I Said To Kristina.

"She Has A Pudge." She Said. I Rolled My Eyes.

"Oh Well." I Said. After I Did Some Major Grocery Shopping, We Were Standing In The Checkout Line When Lisa Approached Me.

"Hey. Aren't You The Girl That I Spoke To The Night Me And Roman Split Up?" She Asked. I Nodded.

"I Haven't Spoken To Him Since That Night And I Wanted To Know If He Was Seeing Somebody Else?" She Said. I Shrugged.

"I Really Don't Know." I Said. She Smiled And Handed Me Her Card.

"If You See Him With Anybody, Just Give Me A Call." She Said. I Nodded And She Walked Off. Oh How Awkward Was That?!

When I Got Home, I Put All The Groceries Away And Headed Back Out To Go Pick My Little Brother Up. I Haven't Heard From Markus All Day, So I Texted Him And Told Him I Hope His Interview Went Well.

"Hey B!" Daniel Said, Hopping Into The Car.

"Hey! How Was Practice?" I Asked.

"Good. Im Tired." He Said. I Giggled. When We Got Home, Daniel Headed Straight For The Showers As I Made Us Dinner. It Was Now 7:30pm And I Had To Be At Work At 9pm. Ugh. I Set The Table As Daniel Came Downstairs.

"Where's Mom?" He Asked.

"Um...Still On That Business Trip. They're So Close To Closing A New Deal." I Lied. My Little Brother Didn't Know About Our Mom's Real Problem And I Didn't Want Him To. I Continued Lying For Her So That He Wouldn't Hate Her As Much As I Did. He Shrugged And Sat At The Table.

"What You Cooking?" He Asked.

"Grilled Chicken, Macaroni, And Dinner Rolls." I Said.

"Yum!" He Said. I Made His Plate And Gave It To Him. I Felt My Phone Buzzing And It Was Markus.

"Hey You." I Answered.

"Hey Beautiful. What Are You Doing?" He Asked.

"Eating Dinner. About To Get Ready For Work." I Said.

"Oh Okay. I Have A Surprise For You." He Said. I Began Smiling.

"What Is It?" I Asked.

"It Wouldn't Be A Surprise If I Told You." He Said. I Laughed.

"Well...When Do I Get This Surprise?" I Asked.

"Tonight. Before You Go Into Work." He Said.

"Okay Well I Guess I'll See You Soon." I Said. We Hung Up And I Sat Down And Ate Dinner.

It Was Now 8:30pm When I Had Finished Curling My Hair And Brushing It Into A Ponytail. I Applied My Makeup And I Was Officially Ready. I Grabbed My Keys And Headed Out.

"I'll See You In The Morning. You Know The Rules. Goodnight." I Said To Daniel.

"Goodnight." He Said. I Left Out And Headed To Work. I Was Really Anxious To See Markus And Know What This Surprise Was. When I Pulled Up At Work, I Noticed I Was Five Minutes Late, But When Was I Ever On Time? I Got Out The Car And Headed Inside. Kristina Was Waiting On Me At The Door As I Walked In

"Somebody Is Here To See You." She Said. Markus Was Standing There Smiling.

"Hey!" I Said, As I Hugged Him. Kristina Passed By Smirking And Laughing.

"So Where's This Surprise Of Yours?" I Asked. He Handed Me A McDonalds Hat And A Name Tag With His Name On It.

"Surprise! I Work Here Now. And On The Night Shift With You." He Said. Oh Fuck! My Eyes Widened As I Stared At His Stuff.

"What's Wrong?" He Asked. I Snapped Out Of My Thoughts.

"Um...Nothing. Congrats." I Said. I Gave Him A Hug.

"I Start Tomorrow Night." He Said.

"Well I Can't Wait." I Said. I Tried To Sound Happy And Thank God Markus Was Convinced.

"Well Get To Work Babe. I'll See You Later." He Said. He Kissed Me And Left.

"Bianca! My Office! Now!" Roman Snapped. I Clocked In And Followed Roman To The Office. This Can't Be Good.
