Chapter 7

"Come on Bud, it's time to get up." Sam shook me awake.

"Sammy!" I whined. " I don't want to."

"I'm sorry Bud but you have to."

"Why?" I asked stubbornly crossing my arms while still laying in Sam's bed.

"Because it's the last day of school. Duh!"

"Please Sam? Can't I stay home? My lip really hurts and I don't think I can-" I cut myself off by putting my hand up where my necklace should have been.

Sam must have noticed because he pulled me into his lap.

"Aw Lila." He kissed my temple. "I'm really sorry about that. Your lip and your necklace. It's ok with me if you stay home but we should ask Caleb ok?"

I kissed his cheek and thanked him.

"Hey Caleb?" I asked, walking into the kitchen.

"Hm?"

"Would it be ok with you if I stayed home today? Please?"

"Oh I don't know lila....you really shouldn't miss the last day of school....."

"Oh come on Caleb." Sam said walking into the kitchen.

"Let's ask the ready of your brothers first k?" I nodded and sat on a stool.

"Ask us what?" Ethan asked as everybody els walked into the kitchen.

"Lila wants to stay home from school today and I was gonna ask you guys if you thought it was ok."

All my brothers gave me worried look and nodded.

I jumped up and hugged them all. "Thank you so much. I love you guys."

"We love you too." Luke says and kissed the top of my head.

I smiled and started walking upstairs.

"Wait Lila. What about breakfast?" Kyle asked me.

"What about it?" I stopped on the 2nd step.

"Aren't you hungry?"

"Nope." I answered as o continued walking again.

"Come on Lila." Cole told me. "You need to eat something."

"But I don't want to." I pouted.

"Lilac." Caleb warned.

"Fine." I grumbled and took an apple.

Ethan chuckled and kissed my forehead while Sam ruffled my hair.

"Ass wipes." I whispered.

"What was that!" Luke asked me as I walked to my room.

"I love you!" I yelled down.

"Uhuh." I heard Caleb say as I walked into my room and changed into something cozy.

"So are you just gonna lazy around all day?" Sam asked me.

"Yup. I won't get any time to lazy around tomorrow now will I?"

"And why is that?" Caleb asked me as he walked into the living room.

"Cause it's my birthday. Duh!" I laughed

"Oh hey L?"

"Yeah?" I looked up at Sam.

"We won't be here when the boys get home so DONT try anything. Got it?"
