"Sir, the pickets have sustained fire, the Europeans are here!" yelled one of the mana comm operators at the main castle, as moments later, loud booms from the harbour indicated the first european missiles had found their mark, followed by shrieks overhead, as Kestrels shot ahead and began to find their pre-designated targets, and then bomb them.
"Sound the alarm, Sharkun, get your fleet moving!" yelled General Patagene into his Manacom, as he saw the fleet unfurl its sails and begin to leave. It was gladdening to see that the Admiral had the initiative to stay on alert just in case.
"Look at that!" yelled a mage, as they saw the fleet at port begin to leave, as they unfurled their sails and began to sail menacingly towards the enemy. Unlike most of their counterparts, the second fleet had been constructed with some advice from Parlpadia, with large hulking hulls and mostly ballista, polybolos and primitive cannons that would have been laughable and not even at the lowest standards of the Parlpadians and the third civilization area.
"Go get them, navy!" screamed one of Yamirei's mages, as suddenly, streaks of light shot out from above, and then, Admiral Sharkun's flagship exploded in a ball of fire, and the ship promptly sank in the middle of the harbour, trapping the remainders of the fleet in the harbour, whilst locking out the rest.
Seeing a few more pennants on his masts, the Europeans decided to cut the head off the snake, and destroyed his flagship, seconds later, harriers shot across the skies and began to gun down wyvern lords already in the air.
"What? How?" yelled a mage, as bloodied chunks of an unfortunate wyvern rider fell onto the rampart.
"Stop gaping and follow me!" yelled Yamirei, as they ran to the castle battlements, where they were followed by even more archers and spotters to relay data to the summer castle. Suddenly, a shower of blood fell on the mages, as moments later, a squadron of harriers shot across the sky, corkscrewing like serpents and firing streaks of light at the wyverns in the air.
"This is our time, quick, start chanting!" he yelled, as the mages beside him began to chant, gathering mana on Yamirei as a focal point so he could cast a more potent version of the fireball.
Nearby, Archers were desperately trying to find something to shoot, as the Harriers flew too fast for them to react and shoot, and if they did, they were more likely to hit empty air.
"Look yonder!" yelled an archer, as they saw some even faster birds swoop over to the heavy armoured knight's barracks. It dropped three eggs which bizarrely had fins on their end, before swooping back in the direction it came.
A few moments later, the barracks simply crumbled before there was a large explosion, the shockwave levelling the wooden buildings nearby.
"Chanting is complete!" yelled one of the other Senior Mages, as Yamirei felt the mana flow through him.
"You shall not pass! Eat this !" yelled Yamirei, as a few fireballs shot upwards at a squadron of passing Kestrels, hoping that this cluster of fireballs would hit one of the passing Kestrels, moving in to hit some of the cavalry stables.
The fireball flew clean over the Kestrel, and it continued as if nothing had happened. Moments later, they dropped their eggs again, and the cavalry stables of the light hussars led by Lord Calcio, not that the sadistic bastard would be missed by him anyway.
"What?" he said, as moments later, a crater stood where the cavalry barracks once were. Yet, the nearby houses were still standing. That amount of precision at that speed! That was near impossible to fathom.
