Topan embassy , brussels
14th may 1640"I see ... Da, da. I will get that help." said boyar Nicholai, before hanging up on the manacomm.
The retired boyar, now ambassador to the European Federation stood up and wiped the sweat of his brow, relieved that it was not as cold back home.
He was a lord from Topa, the guardians of the world's edge gate, and harvester of the ice mana-crystals that powered even the Holy Milishial Empire's cooling equipment.
Recently, however, the demon lord Nosograth had risen from his prison, and he had breached the wall that separated the wastes from the nearby Minimasa Oblast, and his forces were rampaging through it, regrouping and getting ready for another concerted assault.
It was worrying enough for Tzar Rados the red to send his daughter , Princess Kholdonny, one of the best ice mages in the whole of Topa, to the Minimasa oblast, alongside a good portion of the standing army to reinforce the already strong and well equipped garrison that was to break
Especially how no one seemed forth coming to come and help. The Holy Milishial Empire had given them their ' best wishes' and held them in their prayers, though they acquiesced and promised to send a battalion to help, while Mu claimed they were preoccupied with other matters, and offered weapons cheaply which would admittedly not come in time.
Then the overbearing Parlpadians, once they promised aid, the next minute they simply retracted it. The bushy bearded Marshall could only apologise sheepishly, while the women and children of the world's edge wall garrison were slaughtered.
Finally there came the Europeans, the new folk around the block who fought off the Kingdom of Louria with bizzare and arcane magics that they blank point told them was not.
The Europeans seemed unconvinced, even with the prophecy of the Demon King and how he would bring about the end of the world, and the pictures painted to show the devastation he wrought, they didn't really believe him, and he swore the general's aide and one of the ministers were laughing about it in the break room.
However, after promises of reform and favourable trade confessions, the Europeans grudgingly sent an Enforcer Corps battle group to the Kingdom of Topa, under the cause of protecting humanity, even if they thought the threat was a tad bit exaggerated.
And so, two days of preparations came to a close, and the forces were loaded on transport group Dnieper to the nearest harbour in Topa, so that they could set up a small FOB to transfer the battle group via airlifter.
En route Tormis Oblast
17th may 1640Corporal Emilia Rosa of the European Enforcer Corps 10th tactical operations battle group looked out the window of the CL 250 airlifter.
The airlifter was moving in formation alongside four others, carrying the rest of the battle group. Normally, the battle group would use whirlwinds and Gladflies, but given how they were not in an active war zone without multiple anti-air threats, they used the heavy airlifters to carry the entire battle group over to the warzone from their staging point at the port of Mirengrad.
Apparently, they were having an infestation of 'Demons', ogres and other sorts of nasty creatures. They were getting some kind of deal out of it, so it meant working with these fake Russians.
It was probably still better than Suvrov's lot though.
'Corporal Rosa." said a voice, and she turned around and saluted the armour lieutenant Colonel.
With the armour crews of the Panther 2a3s was Captain Blechmann, the battlegroup's armour commander. Judging by the look on his face, she should probably stop gaping like an idiot at the steppes. But then again, the colonel was a stereotypical German, which was great material for barrack jokes about German Stoicism behind his back.
