OMNISCIENT
5/7/20The rain poured down the window, Kyla's eyes not moving from the view. She'd been home since the previous day. She called in sick to work not having the energy to get out of bed. Life had taken a toll on her and she was struggling. She hadn't had one of these days in a little while. The last time this happened she called Jaylen, he didn't hesitate to spend the day with her and cheer her up.
All Kyla wanted was someone to help, she knew King was there but also felt like a burden. She was stuck physically as well as mentally. Blu was sitting by her bed with his head on the edge making sure she was okay. It felt stupid to say but he was all she had.
There was a knock on her door that she tried hard to ignore but it wasn't going away. It was then followed by King's voice. She sighed and got up dragging her feet to the front door."I went to ya work and they said you called in sick."
"Didn't feel like going." she said before closing and locking the door behind him
He set the big plastic bag on the table. Before he went to her work he stopped off at his moms. King's brothers weren't the best for advice when it came to women so who else would he ask? It was obviously he really cared for Kyla he simply just a little rusty when it came to relationships.
"You eat?" he asked already knowing the answer.
"No." she said rubbing her tired eyes.
"When the last time you ate?" he asked giving her a plate with a little everything.
"Yesterday." she mumbled.
He decided not to say anything clearly seeing she was barley in the mood to talk. So while she ate he got Blu situated with some food and fresh water. King walked over and sat on the couch and put the tv on. He'd learnt its best to sometimes give her the time to come to him instead of prying so she won't clam up.
Ten minutes later she walked over and took a seat next to him and he wrapped his arm around her.
"Why you ain't call me?"
"I don't even know where my phone is."'she mumbled honestly.
"So talk to me.
"There's nothing to say I just don't feel myself sometimes. So I thought it was beer I stay home."
"Ky." he sighed frustratedly.
"I don't know what you want me to say. I just get like this sometimes and there's nothing I can do." she said as tears filled her eyes. Kyla knew she needed to communicate better but she didn't know how to explain what was going on.
King sat up and wiped her tears away before kissing her face. She practically crumbled in his arms when he hugged her. He tightly hugged her knowing she loves a tight hug.
"Call me the next time this happens Kyla, you understand me?" he said and she nodded her head.
What Kyla needed was a professional talk through her problems, and break them down. But she found it hard to trust people in general, let alone someone who she had to tell every little detail too.

King cut off the water and hopped out. He got himself ready for bed, as he stepped into the bedroom he noticed Kyla wasn't in bed where he left her. So he pulled on some basketball shorts and went into the living room.
She was sitting up wrapped up in a blanket with her eyes glued to the tv. He sat down next to her and she slipped over and got comfortable in his lap. It was then King realised she only had on panties. He pulled the blanket back over her and gave her a kiss.
Kyla's arms wrapped around his lower torso as she snuggled closer to him. While his hand took position around her neck, he gave her another kiss. This time there was a little more to the kiss. The kiss and the grip on Kyla's neck caused a small moan to slip out. In a swift movement King laid her beside him on the couch. He slipped her pantries off throwing them somewhere before moving between her legs.
Kyla gasped lowly, sinking into the couch as her body trembled slightly. Her hand rested on the top of his head.
"Baby." she moaned, her hips slowly grinding...

Two hours later, King sat on the edge of the bed watching over Kyla. He didn't know why he felt so protective and worried about her all the time but he just did. She clearly wasn't okay but didn't want to dwell on it. Kyla was hopeful that with time she may get better, but King wasn't so optimistic.
The back of his hand gently rubbed her cheek back and forth. Slowly Kyla's eyes opened and landed on him.
"Lay down." she mumbled, he reached over and flicked off the side light before laying down beside her.
His arms hugged her body tightly before he closed his eyes. King was trying not to worry but he couldn't help it. Most of Kyla's days were good but when the rare bad day came around, they hit her hard.
