OMNISCIENT.
6/1/20

Kyla piled up the stacked cash as they each reached five grand. She was working for King as well as working in the newest tattoo store around. It was very good money so she was grateful. She simply went to get a tattoo and showed an interest while talking to the girl doing her tattoo. Once she learnt the skill Kyla had she gave Kyla a test run which went more than well, and the job was hers.

Once she was done she called King upstairs so he could lock up the money. He grabbed a stack and handed it over to her.

"Thank you." she said before putting it in her purse.

"Jaylen told me you Zara sister....y'all don't really look alike." he said looking over at her.

"Thank God for that." she said being dead serious and he busted out laughing.

"Y'all don't get along?"

"Something like that, later." She walked out of the office and headed downstairs.

As Kyla walked across the ground floor she noticed eyes on, her she turned her head and a the girl serving the bar was looking at her.

"Um hi." she said not knowing what else was appropriate to say.

"You working here now?" the girl asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Something like that." Kyla said before walking over.

The girl was light skin and stood maybe five foot six.
She was beautiful and had long braids running down her back. The first thing Kyla noticed that she was literally glowing.

"You pretty as hell." Kyla said quickly checking to see if she was drooling.

"Thanks so are you, what's your name?" the girl said low-key blushing.

"Kyla, you?"

"Jazzy." They exchanged Instagrams before Kyla left and headed home.

She was starving and had a client in a couple of hours. So that was enough time to freshen up and eat.

Kyla wasn't really a social person but she did hope that she'd be able to make friends. Back home she didn't have many girlfriends, most of the girls she worked with were jealous of her. So she tried her best to keep her head down. She wasn't much of an optimist but she was trying for this new chapter.

It was around nine when Kyla woke up from her nap. After work she went to visit Jaylen and have dinner but ended up falling right asleep. She frowned when she heard voices coming from downstairs.

Slowly she got up and stretched before tip toeing downstairs. Her eyes landed on King who was sitting on the couch smoking.

"You too high to take me home?" she frowned seeing how low Jaylen's eyes were.

"Nah I'm straight." he assured while he stuffed his face with pizza.

"He ain't driving, cmon I'll take you home." King ashed his blunt and stood to his feet.

Kyla looked at Jaylen for help but he was no use whatsoever. She sighed and got herself ready to leave. She grabbed her bag and jacket before saying goodbye to Jaylen.

"Over here Kyla." King pointed his car, Kyla's eyes landed on a blacked out mustang v8. Tinted windows, black rims and a fresh clean shine.

She loved the car, she hopped in the passenger side. Kyla took a brief moment to look at the interior before he hopped in. King stepped on the gas causing his engine to rev as he sped off.

The drive was only ten minutes, Kyla grabbed her bag and quickly thanked him before rushing into the house. She didn't know why that car journey made her nervousness but it did.
