Kyla moves from the hell that is her hometown, Compton. Her next chapter begins in North Carolina with her sister. Although she's not happy with her current living situation she tries to make the best of it.

After an hour Kyla had wrapped up all the gifts. It was King's birthday and let's just say she was going all out. It was clear she struggled with words but she was good with gestures. She's already dropped Blu to her aunts house as they were leaving first thing tomorrow. King's actual birthday was today but he went to visit his mom first.
"Shit shit." she mumbled hearing keys in the door.
She ran downstairs and quickly stopped herself from falling. "Girl why you running?"
"Had to get your presents ready let's go."
He chuckled and followed her upstairs. "Baby I told you ian like my birthday."
"Welp too bad come on." she said sitting down.
He sat down on the bed and opened his gifts loving them as he opened them all. She got him things from jewellery to shoes now to her favourite one. He was already grateful for her effort, no one had really fussed about his birthday like that.
"Damn." he mumbled pulling off the last of the paper.
It revealed a painting of King and his Father. The original photograph was King's father with a big smile holding King as a toddler, they practically had the exact same face. It was his favourite picture, so she painted it for him.
"Shit mama how you do this?" he asked feeling his vision cloud, he cleared his throat.
"Your mom told me it was your favourite picture so I painted it."
He set the painting down carefully and pulled her into his lap hugging her tightly. She loved how appreciative he was, she was hoping this was enough to satisfy the need she felt to repay him for being so supportive even when she felt like she didn't deserve it.
"Baby I'm not even done."
"You got me more than this?" he mumbled against her neck.
"Just one more." she said handing him an envelope.
He opened the envelope and pulled out the contents. It was two tickets to a resort in Bali, it was one place they both wanted to visit, King especially. As a kid he never travelled, his first flight was only a few years ago so he wanted to go every where.
"Imma smack ya ass I told you not to be spending money."
"Boy shut up we leave tomorrow morning." she'd been looking for the perfect place. And thanks to Nina it happened. Nina's cousin was a travel agent and knew all the hit places for good prices.
"Thank you mama for real. Ian even expect all this." Kyla's next plan was for them to go out to dinner but King hadj other ideas is you know what I mean..

OMNISCIENT. 7/2/21
On the first full day in Bali, King woke up first. Kyla was fast asleep next to him with her legs tangled around his. He rubbed her sides and kissed her neck. Soon enough he felt her arms drape around his neck. Yesterday hey made sure to rest since they had a long flight.
"How you always wake up like this?" she said feeling his print against her.
"I be having nasty dreams." he chuckled making her do the same.
He lifted his head and kissed her lips, her fingers trialed to the back of his neck as their tongues fought back and forth.
"Mm mama you waking him up." King mumbled and she busted out laughing.
She could feel his print pressing against her firmer and firmer. Kyla shifted herself over so she was sitting in his lap comfortably. She sat up straight and pulled off tank top before leaning back down to kiss him. His hands now running up her bare back.
In a swift movement he'd locked his arms around her and carried her into the bathroom. He turned on the water, after brushing their teeth the pair got in the shower, starting off their morning right.

Kyla sat on the end of the bed patiently waiting for King to be ready. She wanted some pictures from this vacation for memories as well as for her page. The bathroom door opened and King walked out in a wife beater and black swim shorts.
"Baby you ever thought of getting a dad bod?"
King facepalmed himself, "Baby you say the most random shit, watchu talking about?"
"A dad body, they sexy." she shrugged making him laugh.
"Make me a daddy then we'll talk cmon." he smirked, Kyla shook her head and stood to her feet.
Kyla directed them to the beach where she'd already reserved a spot for them and their lunch was on route. She slipped her slides off and removed shorts before getting comfortable. King grabbed his phone and took some pictures. He was always taking pictures of her off guard, and they always turned out to be great.

The food soon arrived which they both enjoyed. Since King wanted to go in the water he waited a little bit for his food to settle before getting ready to hop in the Crystal ocean.
He pulled off his wife beater and stood to his feet. He scrunched his nose at the strong smell of suncream. He tried to convince Kyla that he didn't need it but she reminded him that he was lightskin and needed it more than anyone before he got burnt.
"You coming in?"
"Um no." she shook her head.
He ignored her and scooped her up before throwing her over his shoulder. King wasn't worried about their belongings as he has a clear view of the space where they were sitting. He set her down in the water while he walked further and further in.
Once the water reached his waist he stopped only to realise that Kyla was still where he'd left her.
"Kyla stop being scared and cmere." he shook his head.
All he had to do was use her full name and she quickly moved closer to him. King scooped her up and she locked both her arms and legs around him.
"I love you...hm you know that?" King mumbled as he kissed her ear.
"I love you too." she replied with a kiss.
They spent the next twenty minutes messing around in the water before Kyla walked back to their area. She dried off and decided to get some time in the sun.
