King sighed rubbing his face as he slid his phone in his pocket. Kyla clearly had her phone on dnd she wasn't replying to anyone. The door of the office opened and Jaylen walked in. It was King's day to watch his fathers store so that was exactly what he was doing. His father owned a barber shop back in the day but soon put it in his sons names.

"Nigga Watchu want?"

"I came to talk man." Jaylen sighed defeatedly.

He took a seat not exactly knowing what to start. "Sum going down on between you two? Cos if that's the case then why she mad bout me and Zara?"

King chuckled to himself, "You still don't get it. You got with enemy number one first of all. And secondly you tried keeping it a secret. Kyla didn't tell you bout me and her cos there was nothing to say. We was steady getting to know eachother. Now we together but you expect her to be open witchu when you straight playing in her face right now?" King spoke with nothing but seriousness.

Although himself and Jaylen were boys that didn't mean he was going to keep quiet. Kyla was his girl, as far as he was concerned she'd done nothing wrong. Jaylen was the one who needed a serious reality check.

"Ain't no one playing, y'all just don't like Zara."
Jaylen shrugged off.

"And there's reason fa that, ya girl got some screws loose."

Jaylen didn't react to the statement which confirmed he didn't love Zara. If anyone was to even breathe a bad word about Kyla, it would be the last breath they took.

"Ian inna mood fa this shit, cos of you my shawty ignoring me." King waved him off while smacking his lips.

"I'm sorry aight, I was trynna fix shit."

"Nah you was getting involved in family shit that's what." King corrected him. It was his own fault for listening to Jaylen, he now has to find a way to make it up to Kyla.

"Man she's my little sister it is my business."

"Nah it's not. There had clearly always been something between Zara and Ky, they're sisters so it's their business. Zara being your girlfriend makes you bias as hell, it wasn't your place to get involved. Cos now you set you and ky's relationship all the way back. My dumb ass got involved too now here I am being ignored." King spoke frustratedly.

Jaylen thought before speaking, "You for real love her don't you?"

"That's between me and her. You broke her heart meaning ian gonna say shit about me and her to you."
All Jaylen could do was nod his head. One thing about King he was going to say whatever he thought.

King rested his head on the door frame and knocked. He told himself to give her some space. It had been a couple of days and he was too anxious to leave it any longer. She would even answer the buzzer so King had to wait until one of her neighbours, who he knew, was leaving the building to sneak in. The first thing that he heard was Blu barking.

"Baby relax." he heard Kyla's soft voice.

The door opened revealing her, she wore some spandex shorts with a tank top. Her hair was down and curly just how he liked it. He snapped back into reality quickly before she had the chance to close the door in his face.

"You gonna stop ignoring me?" he questioned. As much as he wanted to be mad he couldn't, he'd brought it on himself.

"I just wanted to be left alone." She walked into the kitchen area and left him to walk into the apartment. King closed the door behind him and followed her into the kitchen.
