"Diane! Do I have to wake you up myself everyday? Use your damn alarm for god's sake." A woman's loud voice suddenly frightens Diane out of her sleep.
She opens her eyes to see the same blond haired woman looking at her furiously.
Her eyes open wide as she comes to the realization that she woke up in her ideal reality again.
She jumps out of her bed energetically, hopping around in celebration.
Her "mom" eyes her while rolling her eyes.
"Why? Do you have a date today?"
"No, I'm just happy to be here, mom!"
Her mom looks at her questionablly, then blurts out "I guess he must be that handsome."
Diane rushes to her mirror to see her beautiful looking face, fresh even in the morning.
She sighs in relief and starts picking up her outfit.
It somehow feels like she's playing a game where she gets to own and pick out whatever she wanted.
It's so unbelievable that she went to sleep and still woke up in this reality.
It's so strange that the dream is still ongoing, but she can't deny how glad she is to have the chance to stay longer in this happy place.
She soon joins her family for breakfast.
"Good morning!" She exclaims in an exagerratedly high-pitched tone.
"So yesterday you lost your memory, what's the deal today? You lost your mind?" Her older brother Mark mocks her, his dad nudges him as he smiles quietly to himself.
" Today I prepared eggs and sausages, cooked them the way you like them."
"Thank you mom" She says as she starts eating her food maniaclly as if she was starving her whole life.
"Slowly, slowly." Her father affirms, the whole family chuckling at how eerily happy she looks.
Today, she gets to drive her own car to college! In reality, she can't even drive.
This day is so perfect already.
Soon enough, she gets there and meets her friends and goes on with her day.
At lunch break, they sit at their usual spot chatting and giggling together.
"Diane, someone has been staring at you for a while now. Give him some attention." Amy points out.
Diane looks up to find herself facing the most perfectly charming guy she has ever layed her eyes on.
He smiles at her, his hazel eyes dissapearing as he did, his dimples appearing out of nowhere.
He stands up and sits at a different table away from his friends all while maintening eye contact with her.
She gets the hint and takes her food to join him.
"Hey." He says, still smiling.
"Hey." She responds sounding more shy than desired.
"You finally looked up. I didn't even manage to eat a bite and you didn't even notice."
She chuckles and blushes lightly. "Sorry, I tend to be quite slow."
"It's fine though. It only makes you cuter."
They both laugh at his cheesiness.
She ends up spending almost the rest of her day at college hanging out with Gilbert, while her girl friends keep giving her the look everytime they pass by.
She gets to know him better and it turns out that he has everything she's looking for in a guy.
He seems kind, he even volunteers sometimes as he said. He seems respectful and polite. He's well-cultured and fun to talk to. Physically, he's tall, cute and has curly hair and a good sense of fashion. He seems perfect.
And in this ideal reality, there is no way she's gonna end up getting her heart broken by him.
She goes back home after a long day and finds her family waiting for her to have dinner.
"Since tomorrow is a holiday, your grandparents are gonna visit." Her dad declares.
Her whole face lights up as she hears the word 'grandparents'.
In real life, her grandparents never visited after her parents abandoned her, but she still loves them and treasures the idea of having loving and warm grandparents, cause after all they're nothing but a gift from god for the grandkids. And their presence is the best blessing.
Everything is going perfectly, but as sleep time comes by she finds herself anxious, again not sure about her whereabouts the next day.
This is so far the only thing that gives her anxiety in this reality..
Where is she gonna end up tomorrow, here or there..?
What exactly is she experiencing..?
