Chapter 216 - Job Accomplished

The Village of the Sun was freed from its Icy prison. Thanks to Atlas Flame sacrifice, the Giants of the Village were all finally moving around and they were quite massive and large that we were seeing them moving on about instead of being completely frozen as before. They were quite surprised to see us in their village, but Erza had managed to explain everything to them.

When we reunited with the redhead, she had some bruises upon her body as she had revealed to us that she had run into Minerva of all people and that the woman had joined Succubus Eye, the same guild that Tusk Face was part of. I never expected to actually run into the other woman there. There was no love lost between me and Minerva but I was worried considering the bruises the redhead had but she had simply said that she was fine, but that didn't stop me from being worried about her.

However, back to the present, I turned my gaze up toward the giants that were seating across us. We were all enjoying meal with the Giants that were now laughing with Natsu as he was telling them stories about what had happened when we had arrived here in the Village. The Giants were much friendlier than I expected them to be, but that was just stereotype in me speaking.

"Well, they sure are getting along well," Lucy observed as she was staring up at the laughing friends in front of her.

"Well, we sure how you little people big time," one of the Giants spoke out staring down at us.

"We're just happy we could help out," Gray told them.

"I guess from their perspective, we are pretty little," I chuckled looking at the giants in front of us.

The food here was all supersized and I was holding a grape that was the size of a basketball. I bit into the fruit almost soiling my clothing from the delicious juice that was seeping out. The Eternal Flame was shining in the distance of the village covering the entire place as I stared up toward where it was.

Erza who was beside me looked up toward the laughing giants, with a serious look upon her features.

"Excuse-me, but what exactly happened to all of you when the village was attacked?" she asked.

A somber look appeared upon their faces as they were thinking about what had happened during the time that the village got attacked by the Demon Slayer. To tell you the truth, I was also interested in what he had to say.

"Honestly," the giant Natsu was seating on said, "I don't really remember much of anything."

"Atlas Flame did told us that some Demon Slaying wizard raided the village," Lucy explained.

One of the Giants agreed about that.

"Yeah, I remember grabbing my weapon to fend him off,"

"Everything's a blur after that," another added.

"Atlas Flame told us that the Demon Slayer confused him for a raging fire Demon and came to take him out," Lucy told us.

"So…the entire Village suffered because of some case of mistaken identity?" Erza asked, "Not really uplifting."

"Yeah," Gray said, "And I've got a feeling that we've only scratched the surface. That old Succubus Eye Tusk Face Eve and I faced told us something pretty weird."

I frowned remembering it.

"The Gate of Netherworld had opened," I murmured, "Seems that we have stumbled upon something big."

Erza's eyes widened in surprise at the words.

"The Netherworld Gate?" she repeated, "That's Tartaros."
