One thing you didn't know about June was that she loved art. She loved painting a lot, especially to get her anger and feelings out. In her free time, which is mostly after school, she goes to the art room and paints. Actually, she doesn't just "go" to the art room like it's a casual thing, no; she sneaks there.

Anyway, she found some free time for herself today-using her dad's permission of course. First thing she did was she took a canvas and some watercolors. She looked at where the canvas and the watercolors were for a hot minute, to remember their exact places once she's done, and she finally began to paint.

While painting, June thought of the night before, of Steve. Of how much of a jerk he was that night. Maybe he was just upset? Just didn't want to tell people his feelings? Maybe... he left those thoughts for Nancy to know? Obviously June knew it was something between them. It didn't seem like something so easy to share, but she could've known; for her best friend at least.

Oh well.

Then her mind wandered to her dad and Eleven. They fought that morning actually. Eleven had a tantrum about how she wanted to see Mike, about how long it was taking for her to finally see her friends. Knowing she was a child, El knocked her plate on her dad. Yes, it was while they were having breakfast. It was such a good meal but that's too bad because the actual morning was ruined; children really are difficult to deal with.

But that reminded June of her sister, Sarah. June used to have a sister, she passed away a long time ago. Her family was devastated, especially because it wasn't a regular death. Sarah died from cancer. For a while, Jim didn't let June go out. He was too scared something would happen to her too. It took four months to convince him to let her go out again. Her parents divorced, which put her in a really bad place.

The guilt she felt about not spending enough time with her sister or her mother haunted her. When her dad moved to Hawkins, she went with him instead. She only visited her mother a few times, then one day her mom stopped reaching out to her.

That's how she developed the art hobby. Whenever she truly felt upset about something and wanted to get lost in her thoughts, she painted. It's what got her motivated and truly happy everyday.

Until someone interrupted. You can guess who it is.

Steve.

"What are you doing here, Harrington?" She asked the boy standing at the door.

"I could ask you the same."

"You can clearly tell." She said, gesturing at the painting.

Steve glances between her painting and her for a moment.

"Well? You still didn't answer my question."

"Well," He cleared his throat. "I wanted to apologize for last night."
