Percy's POV:
I turned around after the gorgons dissolved in the water. The faces I were met with weren't necessarily friendly. And the praetor didn't look to happy either.
"I ORDERED YOU TO HOLD" she yelled
"Wellll, you see milady, here, gave me different orders and I can't deny her" I stated, and bowed to the young girl Annabeth carried over. I knew it was milady. I also knew my mother, whom I carried over, and Juno were also there.
"You're bowing to a homeless child" one of the legionaries laughed. Though a few of them were looking on in shock quickly as milady changed to her godly form. She also didn't look happy.
"You dare make a"
"Auntie" mom said, "the boy didn't know. Don't punish all of Rome for the mistakes of an idiotic boy" she finished as she too assumed her godly form. She was wearing her huntress outfit and had her bow on her back looking as deadly as ever.
"And you shall not kill him either Diana" Juno said, assuming her godly form, having a goat pelt laid over one shoulder and carrying a staff topped with a lotus flower, not to mention the stupid crown she was wearing.
"But"
"As your queen I say no killing him" Juno stated seriously.
The legionaries were all bowing even the praetor girl, but their bows were more so directed at Juno. Disgraceful if you ask me. I wouldn't bow to her even if I was paid to.
"Rise legionaries" Juno stated, "for today I have brought you three demigods their fates are in your hands. The son of Neptune and adopted son of Diana, the daughter of Jupiter" she said that one with spite, "and the disowned child of Minerva" she stated.
"Now wait a minute sister. You know I'm offering the girl to be adopted by me. What her mother did was unjust and uncalled for" Milady stated
Annabeth gasped, a little, as Vesta turned to her. "Child and architect of the mighty Olympus. My champion asked me for one thing, outside the bounds of my godly duties, in 16 years of being my champion. I feel obligated to at least consider it since he has served me so well. So Annabeth Chase, the brilliant architect of Olympus, will you accept me as your new mother. Disown the mother who has wronged and disowned you. And live as my daughter from now on" Milady stated clearly for the whole legion to hear.
Annabeth seemed shocked just as the rest of the legion was. Though she was able to manage a nod and hug lady Vesta. "I announce you, Annabeth Chase, Blood adopted daughter of me" Vesta stated as she hugged her and whispered something into her ear, as Annabeth glowed momentarily with an orange light.
"Treat my daughter well legionaries or the threat I have given about the treatment of my champion shall take effect" Milady declared coming over to me.
"Treat my daughter well my champion" she whispered with a slightly amused and warning tone.
"Of course milady" I replied.
"Their fates are in your hands" Juno said, grabbing Vesta and flashing off.
"Hmm she forgot about me" Mom stated, "well that's normal"
"Anyway good luck children. Know that you'll always have my support" she said flashing off as well.
The praetor seemed shocked, as did many of the other legionaries. "Standard procedure" Reyna, who I now recognized under all the praetor stuff, said, "LEGIONARIES BACK TO YOUR DUTIES" she shouted over the crowd, which dispersed. "I want to question them, still as part of normal procedures. Hazel bring them to the principia" she said
