Dawn broke loose as a new day rolled in.
All of you were putting your heads together to find some place that may have all the weapons needed to raid into the Upside Down.
A newspaper print had someplace called 'The War Zone' imprinted, guns, ammo, all the arms you need if your under seige.
"That's were we're headed it could have everything we need." Nancy told as she pointed to the print
"That's a long ways to go though... We're going to need a lift." Steve told
"Ok so how exactly are we going to get to The War Zone without a car? Because walking to it is not enough time to spare." You replied seeing there's no car anywhere nearby
"*chuckles* That's where you're wrong sweetheart, every one if these is a trailer so is my place, if I can just hotwire this old thing I could start it up." Eddie sneaked up behind you to get your attention along with everyone else
"You can hotwire a trailer?" Robin questioned
"Before my old man got sent to the slammer, my mom spied my dad doing this and told my uncle this skill and he taught me for whenever hypothetically if I was stuck in the middle of nowhere with a car that doesn't look like it would start. Hotwiring it is the way to do it." Eddie answered
"You're full of surprises Eddie. And that's why I love you." You gave Eddie a smile
After a few minutes with tinkering around with an abandoned trailer as they thought the Munson trailer moving around would be very suspicious going to an arms dealer.
So Eddie soon began his work at hotwiring thus trailer to start up and drive.
It worked after a few trys of putting the wires together.
"There we go! All right let's get going. So uh who's driving?" Eddie looked over to the group as he got out of the driver's seat.
"I'll drive besides we can't have you at the wheel. And Y/N can't either if Jason seen the both of you so I'll do you guys a favor. So you guys just hide out once we're getting all this stuff together all right?" Steve planned
"Sure. We can do that. Hiding is practically our second nature. Isn't that right Y/N?" Eddie asked with a grin
Soon Steve and Nancy went over to sit in the front seats for the driver and Co driver seat.
"*softly giggles* I suppose it is now." You tried to put a happy tone with a faint smile as you were still a bit taken aback by Vecna's vision. You soon went to sit down in a more quiet area of the trailer while Steve started driving.
Eddie grew concerned over you with the way you dismissed yourself away from the conversation.
"You seen how she was acting right? She's out of it." Eddie quietly asked
"Anyone would who's gotten to see their future, Munson... That's why I'm trying not to think about it. But it just crawls back to my brain each time I start to think about again..." Nancy told with a bitter tone as she held her head in her hands clearly in distress
"Talking about what's troubling her may upset her but she could feel safe knowing you might listen to what she says... that is if she's willing too. Like a certain person I know..." Steve told as he tried to reach over to Nancy
That is until he couldn't see where he was going and quickly jerked back into his lane.
"Will you stop Harrington!? Before you ram us off road?" Nancy shouted in aggravation
Eddie thought on it until he spoke his mind.
"All right. I'll give it a shot... Thanks dude. I really mean that." Eddie thanked
"Anytime Eddie." Steve told as he continued to drive
Eddie left to find you in the lounge.
It was only you in the area as Max, Lucas, Dustin and Erica were in the back hoping to come up with a plan to how to proceed into the Upside Down with little to no attacks.
"Y/N? Is something going on that you want to tell me? You can tell me if it's really bothering you.. I can see it in your mood... Your not usual self..." Eddie kindly asked as he sat beside you
"There's nothing to tell Eddie... You wouldn't understand." You replied almost with no emotion behind it
"Whatever that b@stard showed you. Is not real. I don't know what it is you seen but don't believe it if you were to believe it was going to happen. Now be honest with me... did it have to do with me?" Eddie asked softly as he locked eyes with you
"Yes but it has to do with sacrifice... But-" You felt Eddie's finger shut your lips from speaking anymore
"Don't say anything more. Sacrifice is only needed if things are in peril... DnD taught me this, losses were grave and losing the best fighter and ally is what the team will need to carry on even if it's a fools hope. But heroes don't need to bear the burden to sacrifice themselves especially to their party whom everyone looks up to. Now I'm promising you now that I won't sacrifice myself to Vecna. I'm going to run away from danger because as I learned running is indeed a valued tactic both in reality and in DnD." Eddie confided in you as he reminisced in all DnD campaigns that required an honorable sacrifice
"Please promise me you will?" You told tearfully
"You have a Paladin's promise. Paladins never break their oaths. As you already know remember?" Eddie smiled to you as he moved the hair out of your face that was concealing your face
"Yeah just don't think twice of risks... like that of your character... Kas was it?" You questioned from memory
"You're right Lady (DnD character's name). For our city of Hawkins will not rest until evil has perished!" Eddie told in his dramatic voice to cheer you up, he made you truly smile this time.
Soon the trailer came to a halt.
"We're here!" Steve shouted from the driver's seat as he and Nancy exited the trailer
"Ok Eddie, Y/N and children who are staying in here. We should only be a few minutes to get all the weapons, explosives we're gonna need to burn it down. So be right back!" Robin reported before she went after Nancy and Steve to go inside the arms dealer shop.
