Writing the perfect Song.

Morning rolled around again, you were a little shocked that you were resting atop of Eddie, his arm was hugging you a little. But if he truly didn't mind and if it kept you from freezing and him being absolutely comfortable with it. It wasn't bothering you.

But you knew the others would be coming soon to deliver stuff to you both.

"Eddie?" You whispered as you gently tried to squirm out of his grip around you.

"Hm? *tiredly yawns* What? Can I go back to sleep?" Eddie muttered as he stretched and laid back

"It's 8:45 in the morning they could be here soon. I'm gonna check if they got back to me." You told

"Ok." Eddie spoke through his drowsiness

You got up to look through the window, seeing if you could see the others coming by. No one was there yet as far as you could tell.

You went to check your messages if Dustin said anything.

'Hey Y/N! We're headed to your place to get your gun, where is it at exactly so we don't like trash the house. As soon as we do we're gonna head to a 7-Eleven on the way back to the shed.'

'In my room, probably in the closet, if not it's probably underneath the bed. I really appreciate the help. We can't wait for what I guess you'd call breakfest.'

'👍😁 OK! We'll talk to you later! It's Steve btw.'

'Oh ok. See you all soon.'

'That pr!ck Steve! Stealing my phone sorry about that Y/N. Say hi to Eddie for me!!'

'Will do!' You sent your message and faced to Eddie

"So what's up with them?" Eddie asked as he looked to you

"Dustin said hi. They said they're getting it all together so... I guess will just chill out for the most part." You told

"Have you thought about writing a song? I mean I know you've been doing the one you made yourself but... How about we write another song? I mean if you're ok with it that is and well... we could finish the one you're writing too?" Eddie asked as he looked through the area to find something

"Oh yeah. I was excited about doing this although you don't have... hey wait a second. Is that-" You answered as you were observing what Eddie was doing

"Yep. My guitar in prime condition." Eddie told as he held the guitar with ease

"How did you get it?!" You were surprised

"While you were gone. I went back, I did a ballsy move and somehow those cops were blind as fvck. I don't even think anyone heard me, I wasn't even sure if anyone was still here. But I got the hell outta dodge and now I'm safe so is my sweetheart." Eddie answered as he strummed the guitar

"I'm glad you weren't caught but wow. So uh. What song did you plan on coming up with?" You asked as you took your bass into your own hands

"Hm. Well I'm mostly rock or metal and I've been trying to do more... softer genres. I'm at a blank with lyrics but I have the notes in my head. Here I'll play it out." Eddie spoke as he plugged the wire connecting the guitar to the amp and he started to strum the guitar with the notes he came up with himself.

"So what's the problem about it? It sounds very pretty." You asked

"Well for one I'm not sure how to come up with the rest of it. And two I think I might be able to come up with the lyrics..." Eddie answered

"So what do you want me to do? Play along with you?" You questioned

"Well yeah but... can you... look at me so I can think clearly about the lyrics?" Eddie asked in a quiet voice almost nervous yet relaxed

"All right. I'll do as you say... how's this?" You tried to look directly into Eddie's eyes with a faint smile while also adjusting your hands to play the bass

"Yeah uh... Stay like that for a second..." Eddie spoke as he locked eyes with you

What felt like minutes of just staring at each other, Eddie soon began to play his song and you followed after.

"Oh~ Oh... Oh, no. She's standing by the broken tree... Her hands were all twisted... She's pointin' at me... I was damned~ by the light coming... out of her eyes... She spoke with a voice that... disrupted the sky... She said "Walk on over here to the bit of shade." I will wrap you in my arms~ And know you'll be safe. Let me sign... Let me sign!"

The song ended with the guitar's last mood driven note.

"How was that?" Eddie awaited you're answer

"That was so... heartfelt. I don't know how to explain it..." You were breathless to describe it as you put down your bass.

"I didn't know I still had it in me to sing... I guess something about you just... brought it out." Eddie spoke as he too put down his guitar, he slowly reached for your free hand resting on the table

"I can't stop looking at you now. *nervous laughter* I think that song did something to me." You answered in a lowered voice as he held your hand

Eddie inched a little closer to you.

"Neither can I. It's hard stay away from you." Eddie spoke in a more gentle manner as he sat next to you

You felt his breath slowly reaching your face.

Until the door was wide open.

It scared the both of you, which you both scooted a little more ways away from each other.

"Special delivery!" Dustin shouted in a sing song tone

It was the others holding a lot of bags full of snacks, foods and drinks.

"Gimme! Sorry Y/N when it comes to food I would share but I need this right now!" Eddie snatched the bag from Steve that had the honeycombs cereal and Yoohoo milk in. He immediately howled down the food in hunger

"No problem, Eddie." You chuckled softly as you watched him eat

"Uh here Y/N. We got extra in case that would happen... Oh yeah the gun too." Dustin handed a bag full of the same stuff inside of the bag Eddie got alongside the gun inside

"Thanks Dustin! You guys really are awesome." You thanked everyone once again
