It was already midnight by the time you got to the place Eddie was at.

You still doubted about the fact that he was here.

"Eddie? It's me." You yawned as you knocked softly on the shed door.

He opened the door and you quietly entered the little cramped area.

He could tell you didn't want to bring up the situation, neither did he. He did see the case you held.

"You still brought your bass?" He asked

"Yeah but you don't have your guitar so..." You paused

"I know but I wanna see how you play. Please? I want to take my mind off of it... Music usually helps my stress." Eddie spoke

"Ok... I'll sing the first part of the song I created of... it's not done but... I sing because it kills my stress along with music... here goes." You replied as you got your F/C bass with (insert pattern or design) and got the sheet music for it.

Eddie turned a light on in the small shed so you could see the notes better.

"Thanks." You thanked him as you took a breath to relax.

(Stop at 1:20)

"I watched you change... Into a fly~ I looked away, You were on fire... I watched a change~~ In you... It's like you never~~~ Had wings, Now you feel... So alive, I've watched you change."

The short song had soon finished

"You sounded very good... Singing and playing." Eddie complimented

"Thank you. For the most part I thought I was going to doze off..." You thanked tiredly

"So if you moved from (state or country you live) Who do you live with here? Did you tell them you were going to see me?" Eddie asked

"I live with my mom here, my dad in (state or country you live). And yeah I told her she hopes you're ok." You answered

"So whatever happened between your dad and all the sh!t? I mean you don't have to talk about it... I've had my own family problems." Eddie asked

"My dad eloped with my mom while Chrissy's mom was pregnant with Chrissy. She caught them cheating. She filed a divorce. She kept Chrissy even though I believe she hated the ever living cr@p of her because she looked a lot like our dad... I resemble my mom mostly... When it came to my parents... well my dad did a lot of crime, DUI because he gambled a bit too much that my mom couldn't stand it... she left with me when I was young... I was pretty much kidnapped from my dad, he got caught did his time for the most part. He's turned a new leaf and well he's a new guy now. So it's something to say the least. What about you Eddie?" You asked

"Well my story isn't sunshine and rainbows... My dad also happened to be the bad guy I don't what he did but it was real bad. Sentenced for life. My mom on the other hand was dying of a disease but the last thing she did was gift me the guitar I love so much and well inspired me to play. My uncle, who's my mom's brother is really the only one who cares for me now." Eddie was reminiscent

"I'm so sorry Eddie..." You replied just below a whisper

"It's all right." Eddie replied

You looked away from him only to notice a Walkman on the table next to him. It had Eddie's name on it, it also had a tape in it as well.

"You have your own Walkman too?" You asked

"Yeah uh... this one I listen to my own songs with it... the ones that I wrote, I wrote this one when I first entered junior year of school... I haven't written any since our band split up. I never played it in front of anyone either. Not that that I'd get that many fans. But that's just me." Eddie doubted himself a little

"Can I listen to it? Maybe you're just denying that self worth please? I sung for you." You were actually very curious about it

"Ok I'll play it. *presses the button*" Eddie then played his Walkman

'Is it on?' A young Eddie's voice sounded

'Yeah.' Another guy's voice was heard

'OK let's do it!' The young Eddie sounded excited

The band sounded like that had a ton of fun just rocking out ad the finished the song.

'Awesome guys! All right hey Jason could you stop the recording-' The young Eddie sounded delighted as the audio cut out

The tape ended with a click.

"It sounded like all of you were really happy then... it was really good. But that Jason was he really-" You asked as it was leaving you uncanny in a way

"Yeah. Jason and I were probably the least you'd expect to be friends back then but... yeah we were until he became the 'King of Hawkins' he got into basketball, got a girlfriend, became Mr. Goodie two shoes and got all pissed because I was into DnD thinking it was a cultists' dream, it's not why can't people just get that and soon it spiraled into just pure hatred of those people vice versa. It's the 'freak' this and that." Eddie explained

"So that's why you sought to help me out?" You questioned

"Well not only that but because sometimes I heard rumors that Jason was kinda a d!ck to his previous girlfriends before Chrissy and well I don't know maybe she changed him in a way that I don't know but how the hell would if I never had my own girlfriend. It's gonna hurt more for him though as I hate to admit it." Eddie muttered

"Yeah... *yawns* ok now we really should get some sleep." You answered tiredly

"I don't know if I can... but you can take my spot... really I won't mind." Eddie offered as he laid back on the floor next to you

"Thanks again Eddie. I'm glad you liked my song." You thanked as you walked over to the made up bed

"No thank you Y/N... I didn't think I'd meet some girl like you to help me talk about all the bad things in my life... Night." Eddie showed a faint smile

"Night." You smiled back in response and soon fell asleep
