𝐎𝐦𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 | 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡
Aaliyah had just enough energy to climb up from the floor. She'd been on her knees all morning, throwing up. First thing this morning her stomach was rumbling so she made herself a light breakfast, only to bring it all back up.
She wouldn't wish morning sickness on her worst enemy. She groaned seeing what time it was. Today she had her first scan and needed to be ready within the next thirty minutes.
So she had a quick shower before throwing on something comfortable. After checking her weather app she decided on putting on a sweater and some ugg boots as she wasn't in the mood for the cold.
A notification popped up, Jayce letting her know he was out front. She huffed and grabbed her purse before making her way downstairs and out to the parking lot.

The pair sat in the waiting room for Aaliyah's twelve week check up. These last couple of weeks had been hell for her in every way possible. She didn't expect everything to change in a short span of time. If everything went well today she'd been telling those close to her.
Jayce felt horrible for being so hard on her when she told him, especially since right now she barley had the energy to talk. But she didn't care she wasn't going to be nice to him simply because he now felt guilty.
"Aaliyah-Jay."
She got up and walked in with Jayce behind her, while he sat down Aaliyah got up on the examination table. She rolled her sweater up and lowered her leggings a little.
"How are we feeling today?" the doctor asked.
"Like death." Aaliyah mumbled as she closed her tired eyes.
"What symptoms?"
"Sickness...tiredness. I haven't been able to eat a lot without being sick either." Aaliyah lowly groaned feeling the ice cold gel being smeared across her stomach as the doctor began the scan.
"Tea and fresh fruit will be your best friend. A lot of mothers that come here and say it's the best thing....I um.." she paused as she squinted her eyes.
"Is something wrong?" Aaliyah's eyes shot open, now concerned.
The nurse turned the screen so they could see a little better, "Is that two?" Aaliyah mumbled as her eyes landed on the two floating dots on the screen.
"Yes it is, you're having twins."
Aaliyah let out a breath before her eyes closed. She'd never felt so overwhelmed before in her life, she didn't know what to do. She tried her best to pay attention to the doctor as she spoke to her.
But she was more than zoned out. So Jayce tuned in seeing she wasn't paying the slightest bit of attention. Aaliyah thanked the doctor once she got the sonogram photos printed and her parental vitamins. Herself and Jayce didn't exchange any words through the whole appointment.
They got into the car, Jayce looked over to her waiting for her to say something.
"You wanna talk?" he asked before clearing his throat.
"Nope take me to my dad's please." she spoke quietly,Jayce simply nodded and headed in the direction of his house.
The whole thirty minute drive was pure silence. Aaliyah didn't feel the need to say anything to him.
As soon as he parked up, Aaliyah hopped out and closed the door, nothing else.

It wasn't until after ten when Aaliyah was leaving her father and Salice's house. Brianna had been messaging her and she could tell something wasn't right so she came to pick her up.
Aaliyah wiped her tired eyes as she walked over to the car. She hopped in the passenger side before letting out a tired breath.
"How did the appointment go?" Brianna asked, Aaliyahs face was saying many things but she didn't know what specifically.
"I'm having twins." she said and Brianna's eyes grew wide.
She didn't know what to say but she didn't want to say the wrong thing. "Did you and Jayce at least talk?"
"No I didn't have anything to say really."
"Have you eaten?"
"I can't keep anything down." Aaliyah shook her head.
"Right let's get you home to bed." Brianna could clearly see she needed sleep.
On the drive to the apartment Aaliyah dozed off. Brianna reached in the back and grabbed her duffel bag. She'd been meaning to come and spend some time with her and she thought this would be the best time, she needed support.
Softly Brianna nudged her and woke her up before taking her up to her apartment. Aaliyah assured Brianna she wasn't hungry and just needed sleep. So the pair took a shower and got themselves ready for bed.
"You know I'm here if you want to talk." Brianna said as she laid comfortably on her side.
"I know...I just need time to think." she said and Brianna nodded as she completely understood.They said their goodnights and I love yous before falling asleep.
