𝐎𝐦𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 | 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟓𝐭𝐡
After bundling up both of the girls, they were ready to go. After two long months the twins were going to finally meet Brianna. She had finally returned home but Aaliyah felt as if she was acting strange and dodging her.
Brianna's replies were very short and blunt, and their phone calls were even shorter. She walked up to the door and set one of the car seats down so she could ring the bell. As she did Brianna opened the door and gave her a small smile before taking one of the car seats. Brianna didn't hug her or say anything, since the girls were sleeping they are then down in the living room. Brianna strolled into the kitchen so Aaliyah her.
"So where have you been?" Aaliyah asked her, Brianna chewed her bottom lip before finally looking at Aaliyah.
"Um London." she said making Aaliyah frown, the last thing Brianna told her was that she was visiting family in Georgia.
"I don't understand Bri, you told me that you couldn't come home to visit me and the girls because your aunt needed you to stay with her."
Brianna cleared her throat now feeling guilty for lying. "Just..just don't be mad and hear me out please?" Brianna said, Aaliyah nodded.
She took a breath before speaking, "I was in Georgia that wasn't a lie....but I um...I spent the last month or so in London with um a friend."
"So you were with this friend when I gave birth?" Aaliyah asked and Brianna slowly nodded. Aaliyah was genuinely upset to find out that her best friend had lied to her, she really wanted her at her birth.
"Who's this friend? They must be important, you knew how much it meant to me that you were there."
"Her name is Deja...I became friends with her last year. We started getting close but I didn't wanna tell you because she didn't like how close we were. So I tried my best not to let you two meet and I obviously regret it because now I'm moving and it seems all of sudden since I didn't tell you anything before." she said as tears welled her eyes.
"So you lied about talking to this girl, and now you're moving what...how ever many hours away to live with this girl?" Aaliyah scoffed feeling hurt.
Her best friend had lied to her for months. All the way here Aaliyah was excited for Brianna to finally meet the girls and this is what she was gifted with. Brianna didn't look sorry, she was crying because she felt like she had no choice but to confess today.
"I'm sorry for lying Liyah I am. I just didn't want you to be mad, or for her to be mad."
Aaliyah didn't care about what she was saying, she grabbed the carseats and walked out putting the girls back in the car. Brianna rushed out trying to talk to her.
"Liyah! I said I'm sorry, I'm not leaving yet. So we can sit and talk properly please, at least see the girls?" Brianna said but Aaliyah wasn't having any of it.
She got in her car and sped back home. She was surprised to see Jayce standing in the drive, she was too irritated to notice how suspicious he looked.
"Watchu doing back already?"
"Just take them inside please, it's cold." she said, he didn't question anything. He grabbed both of the seats and carried them into the house.
Jayce grabbed them both, one in each arm. He set Nova down in her cozy chair since she was calm but Azalea was fussy. Aaliyah walked in carrying the diaper bag, she locked up and let out a tired breath.
"What happened?"
"I'll tell you in a minute, don't make them a bottle I haven't pumped yet." she said and Jayce nodded.
