𝐀𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐲𝐚𝐡'𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐯 | 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡
I sniffled wiping my face this was all getting too much for me. Today I was supposed to be going home but they've delayed it. And baby girl was still in nicu, I looked down and Nova was still nursing. She was so beautiful, she had my nose with Jayce's thick eyebrows.
The door opened and Salice walked in, she arrived this morning with my dad to bring myself and Jayce some breakfast.
"I need some good news." I sighed, resting my head back.
"Well Azalea is doing a lot better and they went to take her off the breathing machine."
"Are you serious?" I smiled, it was music to my ears. All I wanted was to be able to take my babies home.
"Mhm, your doctor said she'll bring round all of your discharge papers." I thanked Salice for letting me know.
My dad came to say goodbye and they left. Jayce walked out of the bathroom, from getting himself ready for the day.
"I need to get ready, Salice just said Azalea is going to be taken off the machine." I said, he took Nova and put he run the hospital crib.
Jayce helped me get dressed since all I could do was waddle. My outfit was giving mother, I had on a pair of postpartum underwear and leggings. They were the only thing recommended by my doula, I wouldn't be able to wear any tight clothing until my stitches felt a little better.
"Thank you." I said trying to push him out of the door.
"You not even dressed yet." he frowned.
"I need to put my bra on stupid." I said only for him to laugh.
"My fault I'm leaving." he walked out and closed the door.
I put on my nursing bra and pulled my sweater on. When I walked back out the doctor popped in to say they were ready to take Azalea off the machine. So I put Nova in her carseat, Jayce carried it to the nursery.
The doctor was carefully removing all the wires from her small body. "Okay Aaliyah can you sit for me? It's her feeding time so are you ready?"
I happily nodded and carefully took a seat on the rocking chair they had in the corner of the room. Slowly the doctor walked over and laid Azlaea in on my chest, giving her a chance to latch on. She latched on which hurt a little bit I have to get used to it. I gently rubbed her cheek and Jayce covered me with a blanket since it was a little cold.
"Hi princess" I said to her.
I didn't know why but I was crying all over again. Jayce crouched down to my level and wiped my face.
"I'm gonna pack up the car I'll be quick aight?" I nodded my head, and he left.

I hummed while eating my dinner, Salice our meals in both the refrigerator and freezer. So for dinner Jayce heated up some stewed chicken and rice. It was too damn food especially since I hadn't eaten in day.
The door opened and Jayce walked in with my Stanley cup. "Thank you." I said before taking it and gulping down some water.
"Can we talk quick?" he asked, I nodded not having the faintest idea what he would say.
"It's cool if I stay over? It don't feel right just leaving y'all here, I mean you can just about walk." he said, to be honest he wasn't wrong.
I'd never been so uncomfortable before in my life. And tonight would be the first night where I was with both of the girls in terms of the night feeds and diaper changes.
"I'm okay with that." I said and he tried to hide his smile.
After our conversation he decided to get Kaleb to drop some clothes off for him. I had to pump because I felt like my boobs would explode. And it meant that Jayce could do some night feeds.
Very slowly I walked down to the kitchen with Jayce hot on my tail. "Watchu doing? I told you I got everything."
"Well you can't do this." I said, opening the cabinet and grabbing the milk bags.
"Why watchu doing?" he frowned.
"Emptying my breast pumps Jayce okay?" I said and he mouthed 'oh' in realisation.
"My fault...you low-key a cow now you know that?" he chuckled as if it was funny.
"Jayce I will smack you go on somewhere." I waved off, he walked out still laughing to himself.
I emptied both breasts pumps which just about filled a bag. My milk wasn't in yet but it was apparently normal since the girls didn't eat much yet.
"Jayce come here." I called, he walked back in. I spent the next ten minutes showing him how to prepare a bottle. If he was staying here I was hoping to get a decent sleep. So he said he would cover the night feeds.

I don't usually put two days in one chapter but I wanted to show you a little more of Jayce and Aaliyah.
