It was around three when Aaliyah felt her belly rumble. She snapped out of daze when her phone began to go off. She'd spent today at her warehouse restocking, she'd recently opened up her business for the best quality hair you can find.

After a while Aaliyah trailed away from the idea of starting her business, she'd lost hope. But the more she thought about it, she wanted something to leave behind for her children. Her father had set an example, he'd set her up for life and when his time comes he has a business to hand over to her if she wants it.

"Hello." she spoke into her phone.

"Why are you working again?" Brianna asked.

"Stop checking my location."

"I'm just making sure you're okay you wasn't answering." Brianna was concerned because she'd been in a funk. Aaliyah hadn't been doing anything other than working at the warehouse.

She hadn't even gone shopping for the babies yet. Aaliyah genuinely didn't feel motivated to do anything. But Brianna planned on taking her out today to have a little day out together.

"I'll be at yours in thirty, I best see you there boo!" Brianna said before hanging up.

Aaliyah huffed, she knew she wasn't needed at the warehouse. The restock wasn't for another week and her workers had it more than covered.

Brianna rummaged through Aaliyah closet to find a cute but comfy outfit. She picked out two items,  bodycon dresses, one with long sleeves and another with spaghetti strings.

"Which one?" she asked holding them both up.

"I don't mind." Aaliyah mumbled tiredly.

Brianna picked the dress without sleeves since it was warm out, some sandals and nude Chanel purse to match.

Eventually Aaliyah was dressed and ready to go. Brianna drove them to the mall hoping throughout the day Aaliyah might start to feel better.

"How about shopping for the baby?" Brianna asked as she noticed the big children's department store.

"I don't know where to start, I don't even know the genders." she shrugged, Jayce had sent her money to go shopping. But she hadn't been shopping to spend it.

"Well we can buy neutral things let's at least look?" Brianna asked and Aaliyah nodded.

They linked arms and walked in, after being in the store for thirty minutes, she'd warmed up. Aaliyah didn't realise how expensive things were until she reached the furniture section.

Her phone started ringing making her groan, it was Jayce. They didn't really talk much unless she had an appointment.

"Hello." she said as she held the phone to her ear.

"I've been trynna call you, where are you?" he questioned.

"I'm out shopping with Bri." Jayce was just relieved to hear she was out. He hated his things were between them, he didn't want this friends thing but it was the best he was going to get.

"You buy anything yet?" he asked, a part of him wished he was there but he knew he'd be useless shopping for the babies.

"No all this stuff is more expensive than I thought....the crib alone is four hundred dollars and I need to buy everything twice." as Aaliyah was speaking Jayce had already sent her some more money.

Although they weren't together he still wanted to take care of her as much as the babies. He had a plan but he hopped that Aaliyah would accept the gesture.

The phone call soon came to an end. Brianna walked back over with a handful of baby clothes she thought were adorable.

"I don't even have anywhere for this stuff to go." Aaliyah huffed frustratedly.

"I thought you were looking for a new place?" Brianna frowned, Aaliyah could raise a baby in her apartment but she couldn't raise two kids there.

"I am but there's nothing good on the market for a good price."

"Let's get one thing at a time okay? We'll look a little more later." Brianna assured, the last thing she wanted was Aaliyah putting more stress on herself or the babies.

They spent another hour in the store, getting everything neutral they could. From onesies, to blankets to even hats. Aaliyah was surprised at how many neutral things the store had.

After waiting a little while in the queue the pair left and headed back to Aaliyah's. She would rather order takeout than sit in a restaurant.

Brianna looked at Aaliyah as she stared into space. They'd been looking at houses for the last half an hour, and Brianna realised that Aaliyah was right. The houses on sale were either too small or overpriced.

Realistically Aaliyah needed four bedrooms; one for herself, a room for each of the babies when they're old enough, and a spare.

"Don't cry boo, we'll figure it out." Brianna's heart ached seeing how distressed Aaliyah had become.

"It's just my hormones probably." Aaliyah mumbled as she wiped her tears away.

They both agreed to leave it for another day. So Brianna put the laptop away and put a movie on the tv.

"When's your next appointment?" Brianna asked, changing topics.

"Next week, hopefully I can find out the genders." Aaliyah said as she rubbed her bump that was growing rapidly.

She wasn't looking forward to her last trimester because she knew she'd be the size of a house. People had told her you're alway bigger with twins but she didn't expect her to be this big so early on.

"No you need to have a gender reveal. My cousin had one and said it was the best way to get things for the baby. We only bought a few things today you won't need to buy much after the shower." Brianna explained to her.

"That makes sense but it seems like so much effort." Aaliyah shook her head, she basket had the energy to get out of bed in the morning let alone plan a shower or gender reveal.

"All you need to do is say yes and I'll take care of it all I promise."

"I suppose." she said and Brianna squealed in pure excitement.

Aaliyah laughed, shaking her head at Brianna being dramatic. Brianna was glued to her phone looking at a bunch of ideas on Pinterest. The peace and quiet helped Aaliyah drift off to sleep.
