After sitting in the cafe for almost twenty more minutes, I finally decided to get up and let my mind focus on something less stressful. As I'm almost 100% sure that all this stress was awful for me.

So I took my leave, but where I could have made my way back to the tower, I walked the opposite way.

I wasn't sure where the hell I was going, but one thing was for certain... my soulmates couldn't help me with this decision, it seemed no one could.

I was suddenly pulled from my thoughts as I heard a car door slam shut. Looking up, I found myself face-to-face with a tall, pale man, whose raven coloured hair was just past his broad shoulders. And when I say face-to-face, I mean face-to-chest, because this man must have been at least 6'4 in height. Once I had finished my brief assessment of the man, I zeroed in on his face and the strong features that decorated it. "Do I know you?" I wondered aloud, as I realised he actually looked quite familiar.

"Funny. I was about to ask you the same thing, mortal." His tone held no humour, it was dry and deep.

Mortal? What the heck did he mean 'mortal'. What was he, huh, a god? I laughed internally at my own thoughts, but stopped when I realised Thor was literally a god. So it was possible, unlikely, but possible; especially with my luck at the moment.

"Well, okay then...I'm gonna head off." It was an awkward way to end the interaction, but it was the only way that had entered my thought process, so I went with it. As I knew I didn't need any other weird shit going on in my life.

Luckily the man didn't reject the idea, but rather, he started to walk away as soon as the words left my rosy lips. I unfocused on the strange man for what must have been just a mere second to check my surroundings, and yet when I looked back over the direction the man had left in he was gone, as if by magic. How could he walk that quickly? And leave without a trace in a matter of seconds, it didn't seem to make sense.

I quickly let myself forget the previous situation in just a minute. I carried on my venture to who knows where.

...

I eventually found a beautifully decorated bookshop and made my way inside, pushing through the emerald green doors and seemingly stepping into a whole other world. The shop was like a reader's dream, there were vines and plants everywhere, shelves upon shelves of books of every genre. There was even a dark oak coffee bar, which made me wish I had come here to get coffee instead. Another plus to that idea would've been not running into Aaron's errand boy, and being rushed with my decision. Great...now I'm thinking about that mess again.

"Hey, my name is Lavender, may I help you?" A soft feminine voice speaks from my right side.

I turned around to find the source of the voice, and there stood a petite woman with pretty blonde hair cut to sit just past her shoulders, in what appeared to be a gentle bob which suited her soft features well.

"Aurora, and I am just looking, but thank you Lavender." And for the first time in a few hours I am able to present someone with a real smile, appreciating her genuine welcome.

"Well, it was wonderful to meet you, Aurora." She returned a smile to me, just as bright, if not more.

"You too."

I wandered around the shop for a while, before stopping in front of yet another romance section, not that I was complaining. Though there were plenty of other books, these interested me the most, what's not to love? Quite literally.
