The women pushes the door open enough for me to slip past her, into the meeting room.

"Aurora? Are you okay?" Tony's voice is soft and careful as he questions me.

I turn to find him lent against a large table with a glass of water...or maybe vodka? in his hand.

"Y-yes. Yep I'm fine, are you?" I practically throw the words at him, quickly I spin back around to keep an eye on the women.

Her exaggerated smile is still sat upon her aged features. She pushes the door closed with a small clicking sound and takes a seat on the opposite side of the table.

This definitely isn't really weird.

"Uh...sorry, Tony I didn't mean to interrupt your meeting." I give him a smile and walk with purpose towards the shut door.

"Wait. I'm sure Mrs Peterson doesn't mind your presence. Right?" Tony looks towards the women, sat with her gaze carefully studying him.

"Why of course she can stay." The smile on her facial features twist into a sickly sweet expression, the stressed smile lines carved into her pale skin somehow become even more prominent.

I nod and walk over to Tony, taking a seat beside him, wanting as much room as possible between me and 'Mrs Peterson'.

Where are the guys?...

I was unaware of when the Supersoliders had slipped away or whether they had even attempted to enter the tension filled meeting room.

"So as I was saying Mr Stark, we can both profit tremendously from this contract. We wish to set up this event as a means of guidance for the young people of this fine city, to help guide them towards a brighter future and a greater world." The women's words ricochet off the walls, as they slowly sink further into my clouded mind.

There was something unsettling about this women, did I know her?

Maybe I had run into her on a previous mission.

Where ever I knew her from, I couldn't help but get the feeling that her presence was not a positive thing.

"I agree with the idea, but there's just one thing I want to know..."

Mrs Peterson's demeanour seemed to change with his words, she sat up straighter, her expression tightening and her hand on the table clenching into a fist.

Something isn't right, does Tony see it too?

My gaze travels to Tony expecting him to show at least one sign of caution, or even suspicion.

And yet his face was decorated with nothing but a professional upturn of his lips. He is really falling for her bullshit.

Damn and he claims to be a genius. Okay, okay, that was kinda a low blow, but it's true, how has he gone from creating Iron Man to falling for these practically glowing neon lies.

"Which is?" Her tone is sharp like a knife slicing through the air with a precise swoop of the blade.

"You want to set it up for this weekend? I have enough time to perfect every factor of the event." Tony's words were filled with pride, though I couldn't help but gulp at the feeling of dread rising in my stomach.

"Oh that would be marvellous, Mr Stark." She beams, as her eyes seem to light up with a devious glimmer, which Tony appears to miss. Her sudden positivity makes my stomach churn with shadows of doubt.

What is she up to?

How can Tony not notice the deceit rolling off this women in waves? It's as if he is floating over them leaving me to drown in the lies.
