As soon as Steve spoke those two stern words that sent goosebumps down my skin, we all charged straight towards the fight that was breaking out, not looking back once or hesitating.

We knew Pierce had to be stopped once and for all.

My mind was still clouded in some areas.

Memories lost and some only partly recovered in my mind, others fully restored yet out of a logical timeline and confusing.

There are only two things I am sure of in this moment, firstly is that Pierce is manipulative, selfish and above all an absolute twat. And secondly that I should try and make this weird soulmate thing work for the sake of everyone.

Maybe, just maybe life wouldn't be so bad.

I quickly sped alone towards a group of HYDRA agents sending powerful surges of energy straight at them emitting an enchanting bright blue glow and throwing them harshly back several metres across the concrete, causing them to collide with multiple other agents.

Groans and moans of pain and effort echo throughout the outdoor area now crowded with anger and rage.

I smirk and strut towards them, "Who's weak now huh?"

Creating an orb of pure, raw energy in each palm, I look back at the dysfunctional and now somewhat frightened group of individuals and smile. The blue light now surrounded my whole silhouette. "I would say it was nice meeting you-" I blasted them quickly leaving a pile of scattered and very much dead agents infront of me,
"-but that would be a lie."

"You were wrong Sage." I hear the shiver inducing voice say from behind me.

"oh really, about what Alexander?" I say trying to get under his skin with a more personal and less formal name.

"I wasn't the one that made you become a monster. Your parents were leading you onto that path just fine without me." He chuckles with nothing but pure hatred, he was trying to twist my already unsteady mind.

Attempting to bend it to his will.

He believes getting under my skin would be the key to once again grasping my compliance for himself and for the evil organisation that is HYDRA.

This time not even one head will regrow.

"You can't break me with your lies and deceit without your stupid machines and needles." Although I thought my words were strong he laughed in my face. Yet again wanting to basically spit any possible respect back at my face.

"Wow I didn't know the Avengers could make you so blind so soon." He chuckled once more before a sinister glare took shape upon his wrinkled features, "But I guess now is as good a time as any to tell you, your parents were HYDRA. Or should I say are HYDRA."

"No. You're a liar and you always have been Pierce. My parents are dead, even if they were alive they would never side with a group of Nazi's." My voice straining at the attempt to keep it from wavering.

"They didn't want you to know they were getting rid of you but huh. Here we are your parents let us take you Aurora, they never cared and they never will not even after I kill you."

"Where are they Pierce!" Now aware of my temper taking over, "They weren't like that, they were kind and friendly." My volume lowers slightly and my voice breaks as I recall the short memories I had back from my childhood before the Red Room and HYDRA.

"Did you ever once have a friend, or did your parents ever have anyone round your house? Is that not weird to you? No friends, no family except them, never going outside unless it was the garden." He rambles with a sickening smile forged on his expression.
