Son Yejin POV
After two years of limited travels, finally the borders are reopening and more travels are allowed. I took the opportunity to bring my family to the US to visit my family and friends which I haven't meet for two years. My niece, Sophia suddenly grew up so much in 2 years and now she's already in kindergarten. Oh how I missed them dearly.
After working and preparing some personal stuff, this trip is a good trip to recharge and spend Spring time with my family away from home.
"The big luggage are all done. Zipped and close. I just need you to carry it down," I told my husband who is busy packing the carry on bag for Yerin.
For the past week, I easily got tired and weak. The luggage is too heavy for me to lift although usually I can just force myself to do it.
"Arasso, I'll do that afterwards. You can get some rest."
How lucky am I to have such an understanding partner. I walk towards him to see what he packed for our little angel. Since he spent the last 10 months with her, he knows her better than I am. He knows what our daughter likes, which toy that she can play for hours, which stuff toy she wants to hold to sleep, which book is her favourite, so on and so forth.
Being a meticulous person as he is, he makes sure all of the little girl favourites will not be left out. He arrange all the items nicely. Toys, snacks, extra clothes, diapers, blanket, all has it own compartment.
"How jealous I am with Sarang. You know what to pack for her more than you know what to pack for me. Can you pack for me like this if I ask you to?"
He looked at me with squinted eyes. He knows where I am heading and he just chuckled. "Of course I can. Just tell me what to pack and I'll do it for you."
"I haven't finished my sentences. WITHOUT being told what to pack." I purposely stress the word without. I want to know if he knows me well enough.
He can read through my tricks and he answer as calm as the morning breeze, "I am confident to pack your basic necessities but not your outfits and accessories. Remember when I wrongly bring your shirt to match your pants?" he raised his eyebrows to bring me back to that said day.
I literally pissed off at him for that mistake. Since I have too many white tops, he got confused with my description. It's my bad for assuming he knows the difference between 'puff' and 'juliette' sleeves. Since then, he tried not to offer help in packing my clothes.
Getting closer to him, I got in front of him and wrapped my arms around his waist. "Are you still bitter about it? Mihane. Next time, I'll try to be flexible about mismatch outfit."
My pout works as he finally let out his dimple smile and kiss me. "How about a face time when you asked me to pack your clothes. That works better than Kakaotalk."
"Promise," I let out my pinky finger and he captured it with his. "Saranghae,"
"Na do."
✈️✈️✈️
11 April. Finally the day for our family to travel arrived. Too bad we couldn't bring Kitty this time as we are flying between cities. From LA, we are going to New York and later to Hawaii before coming back to Korea. It'll be hassle for the little puppy to move around so much. So, I asked my parents to come over to look after Kitty at our penthouse. The last time we put our puppy at a pet hotel, it fell sick and eventually cross the rainbow bridge. Hence we don't want the same thing to happen to Kitty. Luckily, my parents are willing to help.
We sent our managers and assistants over to the airport first to drop the luggages so we will leave the house with lesser items. As we are handling the online check in, our managers called and updated us with an unexpected situation.
