Son Ye Jin's POV

The rays of sunshine that seep through the curtains woke me up from my sleep. There's an arm wrapped around me and another arm under my head. This is the way he holds me when we sleep. I can also hear his snoring sound from behind. It felt strange before but now I feel relieved every time I hear it. It means he's still breathing, right beside me.

I turned around to face him while keeping his arms embraced on me. I didn't notice him come to bed last night, I was already fast asleep. I touched his face softly, while making sure not to wake him up. He has lost quite a lot of weight because of his role, and his face has become thin now. His hair has also grown longer that it can be slid behind his ears. It reminds me of the first time we met for a script reading about four years ago. If somebody from five years ago told me that I would be married to this man, I would've laughed and told that person that he/she's the worst fortune teller. I mean, not until 4 years ago, we haven't even properly met. But I guess, if you are really meant to be together, your paths will cross each other no matter how. Just like ours.

Flashback.

2017, Spring.
Son Ye Jin's POV

I am sitting in my yard sipping my café latte and enjoying the foliage of spring. Cherry Blossoms are in full bloom and it paints the scenery in pink. My manager said that he will pay a visit today to hand me a new script that he just picked up from our agency. He said that It's a crime thriller movie about a negotiator in a police force. At least that's what I was briefed about when the agency rep. called me last week. I got interested on this role because I don't think I've acted as a police officer before, and this project provides a new challenge to me.

Ding Dong* the doorbell rang. I checked the alarm monitor and it's non-other than my manager oppa, Kim Dae Myung, or how I always called him Kim oppa. I opened the door for him and seconds later he appeared in front of my door.

"Annyeong oppa" I greeted him and helped him with his stuff as he unties his shoes.

"Annyeong Yejin ah. Have you had your breakfast?"

"I am having a cup of latte. Waeyo oppa, you brought me something?"

"Jjajjang!!! It's been a while since we ate this right?" He showed me a paper bag with the words Isaac Toast on it. It's my favorite breakfast toast. That was my go-to breakfast when I was still new to the industry.

"Wahhh Isaac! I cannot remember the last time I had it. Did you get my favorite?"

"Of course. One breakfast ham with double cheese." I smiled like a happy kid. My manager always knew my taste. He had been my manager since my debut, so he's like a big brother to me. He doesn't protect me like a manager who protects me just as an artist, he's really concerned about me like a dongsaeng. Even his wife took good care of me and always made banchan for me.

I took the toast from him and put it on the plates and brewed a black coffee for him. I brought our breakfast to the garden seat at my yard and served it to him.

"Your house has such a great view during spring. Seeing those flowers blooming must be therapeutic."

"Yes. That's the reason why I bought this in the first place. Even though it's a bit far from Gangnam, the view here is worth the long travel."

"Anyway, this is your script", he said as he passed me the booklets of scripts. I went through the script in detail as I munch down my toasty sandwich. It's about a negotiator from Seoul Metropolitan Police named Han Chae Youn. She has to negotiate with an arm dealer, Min Tae Gu, regarding the kidnapping of her team leader and few other Koreans in Thailand.
