As soon as he touched down in South Korean soil, he is already going through basic screening like checking temperature, being asked of any symptoms over the past few days, being check if there are is a respiratory difficulty and the compulsory Swab test that is done near the immigration gates. He was told that the result will be out in 3-4 days.
South Korea Coronavirus case increase as the second wave hits the nation. Because of this, the 14 days self quarantined has been re-implemented. To ensure his wife's safety, he decided to check-in and isolate himself at a hotel while waiting for the test results and to monitor his conditions. He cannot just risk her health without properly ensure that he is free from the virus.
He is now in the hotel room and he sees a lot of messages from Yejin. She must worry a lot he missed one call schedule. He has yet to tell her that he has returned home. The reason he has not to tell her yet is that he did not know how long does he need to be isolated. If the test result is negative, it will be around a week and he can go back home as per the original plan. But, if the test result is positive, he might need to be hospitalized and this could make his wife will feel upset.
"Yeobosaeyo."
"Yeobo, why didn't you reply to my katalk? Don't you know how worried I am?"
"Mihane, I woke up late that my manager is already waiting to take me to the set, and I was busy at the set that I only get short breaks in between." he lied.
"You should at least reply and tell me you are okay."
"Okay, I'm sorry. I won't do it again. Can't wait to see you both and have you two in my arms. I am missing you guys every day."
"We too. One more week, one more week for us to reunite." she sounds hopeful on the other line.
A week later
Hyun Bin can breathe in relief now as his test result came out negative from Covid-19. It means that he can freely go home with some control measures. He still needs to monitor his temperatures and any other symptoms till day 14 and preferably keep a safe distance with others besides keeping the cleanliness on a check. As his situation is quite safe now, he decided to go home and just continue a few more days of isolation at his house. He decided to surprise Ye Jin by going home a few hours earlier than he supposed to be. After getting some advice from the medical personnel, he packs his stuff and heads home that night. 59 days, for 59 days he has been away from his family and if he could come home at least an hour earlier he would. He missed them so much. All he could think now is holding them in his arms.
"I'm coming home," he said as he closes the hotel room door for the last time.
Son Ye Jin POV
Looks like tonight I will be staying alone with Sarang and Doolli as Ahjumma had gone back to her daughter's place. I am watching the news on TV while Doolli is running around the living room playing with her toy. Doolli too has grown up. She is such an obedient puppy who is easily trained and cute too. Doolli is looking and scratching at something while howling. When I walk closer to take a look, she is touching a magazine with Hyun Bin as cover with her paws.
