Even though Kyler and Nick had somewhat made emends, I still wasn't going to be comfortable around him. No way, no how! Maybe if he hadn't raped me, but he did. I was still terrified of him. That was something that was never going to change...
Kyler turned around to look at what I was strafing at. Without a sound, he grabbed out purchases and picked me up. Everything around me blurred until we were in the parking lot.
"In a hurry there, Kyler?" Jas said, shutting the door Kyler had just opened. "Back off." Kyler warned. He gave me a look and I got in the car. It wasn't safe, but it was safer than outside.
"Why are you still bugging us? We made a truce." "We'll, sometimes truces can be broken..." Nick said, looking straight at me. His golden eyes bore into me. Kyler growled and threw them both before getting in the car and speeding off.
Before we got very far, I was in tears. I was so afraid. I began to shake and cry. Moments later, we were back at home and Kyler picked me up and ran to the room.
He pulled me onto the bed and let me cry into his chest. "I promise, I will keep you safe, no matter what happens."

After I had calmed down, we were sitting in the theatre room watching movies. I was huddled up in a blanket with Kyler's arms around me. X and Alex were sitting in front of us, arms around each other and Allie and Kody were huddled together a few seats from us.
I wasn't sure what we were watching. Kyler and I were too busy cuddled together to really pay attention. I was also tired and had trouble focusing. A little over halfway through the movie, I drifted off to sleep.
KYLERS P.O.V
After tucking Avery into bed, I went deep into the forest. As expected, Nick was waiting where I told him too. I leaned on the tree and crossed my arms. "We have a truce. You signed it in blood. Do you know how big that is if you break it?" "I know. If I break it, it's going to cause a war. It's what the world needs to know we exist." "The world doesn't need to know we exist! We've been fine for thousands of years in secrecy! Why would you want to jeopardize that?!"
Nick grinned. "It's perfect. Everyone will be terrified of us and do what ever we say! Food, slaves, money, you name it and they're going to give it." He said with a growing smirk.
I was disgusted. "They can't kill us, so why not?" "They'd find a way. They invented the vampire proof metal. What else could they create?" "The metal took thousands of years to make though! In a thousand years they'll be our slaves!" "Technology is different now, Nick. They could create something in months, if not weeks!" I yelled.
Nick shrugged like it was nothing. "I'll get us known, have slaves and power. And Avery." I slammed him against a tree. "If you touch her, I'll eliminate you myself!" "Good luck! My lycan army is growing by the day! One of them is her not so dead ex." My eyes grew large. "Yea. He was turned right before he died. He was going to tell her but they drug him back here and he's part of my clan. He's rather close to me actually."
I grabbed his head and twisted it as far as it would go without killing him. He fell to the ground laughing as I ran back to the castle to protect what was rightfully mine.

I woke up in the morning and had another case of morning sickness before getting really hungry. Kyler seemed a little more on edge lately than normal. Following me closer, looking around more, holding me tighter. I wonder what happened.
