"What did you just say?" I asked him, horrified.
Sarek repeated himself and tears came to my eyes.
No! This couldn't be happening!
I hit the end button and the phone fell to the floor.
"What's wrong?" Avery asked, concerned.
I looked at her as a few tears rolled down my cheeks.
I pulled her close to be, refusing to let her go.
She held me tight as I started to cry.
"You're going to die." I sobbed.
"W-what?" she stuttered, scared.
"Sarek called and said that you were going to die unless he finds a cure soon."
Avery's POV
My eyes widened. Please tell me he was joking!
But he sadly wasn't...
Tears started rolling down my cheeks.
Kyler pulled me closer, refusing to let go.
His phone started ringing 15 minutes later.
He reluctantly pulled away to get it off the floor and answer it.
"If it's bad news, I don't wanna hear it."
A few minutes later, Kyler's eyes filled with hope.
He hung up and looked at me.
"What?" I asked.
Kyler bit his wrist as hard as he could, trying to get it to bleed.
Once he was finally bleeding, he put his wrist to my lips.
I couldn't resist and started drinking.
His blood was the sweetest I've had so far. I couldn't get enough.
"Sarek said drinking my blood will save you. He said you'd be more like a human than a vampire though."
I nodded as I drank.
Kyler used his other hand to brush the hair out of my face.
He kissed my forehead and pulled me closer.
I soon finished drinking and Kyler cleaned the blood off my lips.
As soon as Kyler was about to kiss me, Sarek walked in.
He turned the light on and looked at me.
"Do you feel ill?" Sarek asked, coming closer and sitting on the bed next to us.
I was silent, thinking if I felt bad or not.
Within the next second, it felt like all the pain I've had in my life, came crashing down on me.
My vision blacked as a scream escaped my lips.
