After two hours of testing, Sarek was finally done!
I sat next to Kyler and leaned on him as he held me on one of the couches.
He ran his cool thumbs over the parts of my arms that needles have been in.
The bruises weren't helping matters either.
"Do they hurt?" Kyler asked as he lightly kissed me forehead.
I nodded and let him pull me closer.
"what if something's majorly wrong with me and I die?" I asked, thinking about what could be wrong.
Kyler's grip around me tightened.
"Don't think that, you'll be fine." He said with a bit of an edge, knowing that could be one of the possibilities.
After that, I dropped the subject, not wanting to upset him anymore.
The longer I sat there, the sleepier I got.
Eventually I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and I drifted off to sleep.

My eyes flew open to a loud bang.
I sat up, realizing I wasn't in Kyler's arms.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Kyler apologized after the heavy door shut.
"Did he figure out what's wrong with me?" I asked groggily.
"No. He's still trying to figure it out. He told me that he needs another blood test and skin sample."
I groaned.
Not another blood test!
I wasn't gonna have any blood left by the time this was over!
Kyler picked me up and carried me to the lab.
Once there, he sat me on the bed as Sarek came in.
He used a knife thingy to scrape a thin layer of skin off my arm.
"Kyler, you might want to leave for the blood test."
Kyler shook his head and held me hand as Sarek took a seventh blood test.
Kyler's grip on my hand tightened and his eyes flashed red as he stared at the blood that filled the small vial.
I squeezed his hand and his eyes flashed normal as he looked down at me.
I gave him a small, sympathetic smile as he leaned down and kissed me.
Sarek finished with the blood test in less than a few minutes.
Kyler pulled away and picked me up bridal style before he carried me off into the night.
