August
"How you feeling Baybeh? Any pressure or anything?"
"I'm fine just like I was two minutes ago Aug, relax."
"I'm just making sure Chrys. Doctor Henry told me to monitor if anything."
"Yes but she also told you not to stress me while we're on this plane. If anything feels weird I'll tell you."
"Alright, alright." I exhaled and sat back.
We were on our way to NOLA and all I wanted was to make sure that she was fine and we reached with no issues.
"You know."
Giving her my attention, she continued.
"We still haven't thought well more so, spoken about names."
"You know where I stand with that."
"Yes I know. You want him to have your name."
"I don't see why we can't. He's my first son and might be my only son so why not just pass on the name?"
"Okay Aug."
"Okay, Aug? What that mean?"
"You want our son to be a third, then okay. I'm not going to fight you on it anymore."
"Why? Will this come back on me later?"
"No. Clearly it's important to you so we'll do it." She rubbed her belly.
"What's wrong?" I became alert.
"Nothing."
"Don't tell me nothing Chrys. If you're having pains let me know."
"I'm telling you it's nothing because it is."
Just as I was about to speak, I heard it. Shaking my head at the fact that she passed gas, she laughed.
"You're disgusting."
"And you're annoying, so it's a balance." She shrugged.
"Anyway, did you pack all the baby stuff that we got on Friday?"
"I did. It didn't make any sense leaving anything behind because time we get back, he would have out grown them."
"Okay cool, and the stuff you ordered?"
"Shan would collect them when they get there."
"I still don't see why you didn't just ship them to you in the states."
"Because that's extra load babe. Load I don't want to carry."
"Not like you'd be carrying it babe."
"Anyway, remind me again how long we'll be in New Orleans for?"
"After you have him, I'm thinking a week and then we can drive back to Atlanta."
"And how long is that ride?"
"About six hours."
"Okay."
"You cool with that?"
"Yeah. A little road trip with him would be a nice memory."
"That's true."
Sitting next to her, I placed my arm around her shoulder and hugged her. Laying her head on my shoulder, she relaxed in my arms.
"Yo ass going to sleep are you?"
"No." She said with her eyes closed.
"You really gonna leave me all by myself on this flight?"
