"You're doing amazing with her."

Looking over his shoulder, Kevin smiled as he sat beside Kalani. It's been a week since she came into this world and she's just been the most precious little being.

"Thanks sis." He exhaled.

"I know, it's a lot, but you'll get there soon."

"Was it like this when you had August?"

"When I had both. When I had Celeste, I thought the process would have been easier because I had August already, but nope. Two different personalities so it was like we were starting all over again."

"Wow."

"But it helped a lot that they weren't overly fuss babies and they got into their routines with ease."

"Well I hope it's like that for this little one."

"Same." I laughed lightly. "But just be patient. This is new for her just as it is for you."

Laying there on the bed, Kalani just looked at us as she sucked on her hand. From what we've learned thus far, she wasn't fussy. Most times she made a sound was when to eat or be changed.

"You ready to introduce her to your family?"

Taking a deep breath, he exhaled. Today was the day both his and Alana's parents were meeting their granddaughter. The day after she was born, he let them know with a simple message, she had arrived earlier than planned. Overly excited, he chose not to say anything else.

"Yeah. I gotta go get Lana's parents in a couple hours, then on the way I'll pick up my parents and we'll be back here."

"Okay cool."

"Thanks again for letting me stay here."

"You're welcome. I figured it would have helped make things easier in the end."

"I really appreciate you and Aug, man. All of this wouldn't be possible without y'all support and love."

"And we appreciate you too bro."

Putting our attention on the doorway, Aug stood there with Celeste in his arms.

"Thanks man." Kevin said as they came in.

"We came to see if baby girl was awake for a Sunbath session."

"Yeah man, she's up. You can go ahead with her."

Sitting there, I observed both of them as Kevin gently picked up Kalani and took his time passing her over to Aug. Fussing just a little bit, he was able to calm her before they left the room. Straightening up a bit, once Kevin was done we made our way out to the kitchen.

"August?" I called my son.

"Yeah momma."

"Wah yuh feeling to have for lunch?"

"Noodles and stew chicken." He smiled.

Shaking my head, I just went ahead and got the necessary ingredients. Letting me know he was going outside, I watched as Kevin joined August with the girls. Taking Kalani, he kissed her on her forehead. Laying her back on the mat, they continued their session.

"Did you do the same with me mommy?"

"Of course. I made sure you got your dose of vitamin D every morning." I kissed him on his forehead. "Come help me prep. Cut up the veggies."

"Okay."

While he did that, I got out the chicken, cleaned and began seasoning it when I heard my husband's phone ringing.
