Ch.6

A few days later.
To be honest being at home all day was boring.

I sighed as I tried to figure out how to get in the bath tub by myself.

I growled to myself and did my best to get in leaving my cast up arm and leg out the tub. I relaxed and then there was a knock on the door.

"Hey I'm going to get some lunch you need any help?" The hero asked.

"No I don't." I said.

"Alright." He said and I heard him leave.

I relaxed and leaned my head back.

When I was done I sat on the floor in front of the coffee table. I was writing a report on the last body I did on my laptop. Unfortunately this body was a hero.

I was trying to stay awake but the pain killers were making it hard. I sighed looking out the window as it snowed. That's when the hero came back.

"Anything happen?" He asked and I shook my head.

"No not really. Hey can you help me with this? I'm so tired I can't think of a word to use." I asked him as he put food on the kitchen counter. He walked over and sat down next to me.

"He died by strangulation but I can't think of the proper word to use." I said tiredly.

"Asphyxiation is what you're looking for." He said taking my laptop and fixing it.

"Oh yeah sorry. These pain killers are really doin their job." I said softly leaning my head back against the couch.

"It's alright they give me that kind also." He said as he read over my report.

"Looks like you got a few things wrong. I'll fix it for you." He said and I just hummed my eyes closing. I leaned to the side and my head ended up on his shoulder. I was too tired to care and I just watched him type. He was too focused on fixing it to notice me. I then fell asleep on his shoulder my body kinda pressed against his side as it relaxed.

Deku POV

I got done basically doing the whole thing. All the important information was on her laptop. I sighed finished.

"C/n I finished it for you sorry if you wanted to do it yourself." I said but didn't get a reply. That's when I noticed the weight against my side. I slowly glanced over and she was asleep against me.

I sighed and smiled down at my lap. To be honest I'm starting to like this mission. It's not as stressful as the others or at least so far.

C/n doesn't treat me like I'm a god. She argues with me, calls me names, says sorry or gets mad if I just laugh. Witch I do most the time because will it's a little funny.

I sighed and moved my arm around her shoulders and the other underneath her legs. I gently picked her up and laid her on the couch. I made sure her head was on a pillow and her broken ankle on one also. I then put a thin blanket over her. I smiled down at her when I heard a noise come from her room.

I stopped and immediately went to her room. Only to see her cat was getting out one of the dresser drawers. I sighed relaxing knowing it was nothing.

I went back and got my food out the bag and put hers in the fridge for later. I sat on the floor again in front of her and sent the report through email to her coworker because well I didn't know how to continue it.

I closed it and put it aside. I turned the tv on and put it low watching the news. It's the only thing I really watch nowadays. I leaned back eating my to go ramen.

When something hero related came on and I had put it down all my attention on the tv. I didn't notice or hear her moving behind me. That's until her arm gently came over my shoulder and a little around my neck. I panicked and grabbed her arm but not too hard. When I realize that I wasn't really at work for once I let her arm go.

The good thing is it didn't wake her I sighed. She actually snuggled into my other shoulder. She wasn't hanging off the couch or anything because of my height but it still caught me off guard and I blushed.

Kacchan and Ochaco are right. I only know violence and harmful touches. Maybe I should give Ochaco a chance. I shook my head at the thought.

Screw that.

I went on with what I was doing not moving C/n at all and just going on with my business.

Soon the news got boring and C/n's soft snores in my ear was making me tired. My head leaned back and I was out like a light.

Carol's POV

I walked up to my coworkers apartment confused and mad. She never answered my email. I was so confused why she sent me the report and didn't send it through the database.

I got my keys out and unlocked her door and walked in.

"Girl is something.......wrong with you......aw!" I said and then whispered when I saw her and the number one. I got my phone out quickly seeing he was waking up. I took a picture before he opened his eyes.

"Who the hell?" He said in a panic and i hushed him.

"Shh I'm her coworker it's fine." I whispered and he calmed down going back to how he was.

"So I guess you sent the email?" I question with sass. He sighed and nodded.

"She fell asleep and I was going over it. The meds were making her not think straight." He whispered and I put my bag down.

"Oh ok." I said and sat on the other side of the coffee table in front of him. I got her laptop and opened it.

"So have a good nap sir?" I whispered cheerfully making him chuckle.

"Yeah actually. I might just go back to sleep." He said and I nodded doing her work properly.

"Go ahead I'll keep watch." I said and looked at him he raised a eyebrow.

"Hey she let me get to know everything about her life. That means I'm capable of more then you think." I said and he still just looked at me.

"My dad was a military sergeant. He wanted a son but got a girl instead but that didn't stop him from training me with and without my quirk ok." I said and he hummed.

"Wait if you are saying you are a sergeants daughter then why you work in a morgue?" He asked and I looked at him like he was stupid.

"Because I didn't want to be a hero or a soldier. I wanted to be normal. Everyone has their reasons and secrets. If this." I said pointing at them.

"Is more then just her cuddling you in her sleep like she does to everyone that's near her even the cat and you hurt her I will ruin you understand." I explained and he chuckled leaning his head back against the couch.

"I understand ma'am." He said and closed his eyes.
