Ch.16

I limped along with the group.

"Ghost you ok?" Deku asked and I glanced at him.

"Yes I'm fine." I said and I actually wasn't. I only had a day to heal and they put me back out.

Later after the mission.

I sighed walking into the hotel room in pain. I took my mask off and put it on the bed. I then laid down without changing and quickly fell asleep.

Deku POV

I yawned tired as I walked in the hotel. I looked around for Y/n and I didn't see her anywhere.

I shrugged and went to the bed room. I saw someone on the bed. I was confused and walked over.

I saw the mask on the bed and knew right away. I had a suspicion that she was ghost especially after the other day and today. Obviously my guess was right.

I'd know that glare anywhere at this point.

The fun mystery is over but she doesn't have to know that. Especially since they will kill her if I knew.

I chuckled as I rolled her over. Black makeup smeared across her face.

"Hey Y/n." I whispered waking her up a bit. She hummed as I sat her up.

"You need to change." I said and she growled. I chuckled and undid her bullet proof vest. I slipped it over her head and put it on the bed. I then took her long sleeve shirt off and I did my best to get her bra off without taking her tank top off.

Her uniform stunk so I had to take her tank top off. First I took my shirt and put it on her. I then carefully got the tank top off and over her head through the top of my shirt.

She grumbled and I pushed her down gently and took her pants off. She growled at me making me chuckle again. I looked at her wounds making sure they had clean wraps. They didn't and had bled quite a lot from working.

I changed them and made sure she was comfortable in bed and put the blanket over her. I looked down at her and smiled.

No wonder you're so stubborn you're a military dog.

The government's pet......

I sighed sadly and got her uniform and went to wash it. After that I put in in the box underneath the bed and I went to sleep on the couch.

Y/n POV

When I woke up I just wanted to go back to sleep. I snuggled into a pillow and got comfortable. I then smelled bacon and I got up. I wrapped a blanket around my shoulders and walked out. Not caring about what I had on.

I saw the hero cooking. I limped over and sat at the island.

"What you making?" I asked him and he put a plate in front of me. It has pancakes, bacon and eggs.

"Oh thanks." I said and started eating.

He got done and sat next to me. I then sighed realizing something.

"Um Deku." I said and he hummed.

"Look um about the other night. It um was a mistake. I shouldn't have done that I um you probably won't understand if I tell you." I said and he cut me off.

"Don't worry I understand plenty." He said and got closer to my ear.

"But hopefully I can get you to go against your protocol." He whispered and I was confused.

"My protocol ha I um don't know what you're talking about." I laughed nervously.

My phone then rang and I sighed answering it.

"Hello?" I mumbled rubbing my head not wanting to get called out again.

"Hey Captain." Shadow said and I was surprised.

"How did you get my number?" I asked and he laughed.

"Well I got the government up my sleeves so." He said and i rolled my eyes.

"What do you want?" I asked playing with my food.

"Come on I wanted to know it I can be your 66." He said and I sighed.

"No you can not be my nurse. Why do you use codes completely out of context?" I asked as I finished my food.

(I'm not 100% if that's a actual code.)

"Because I can. Besides you have been off duty for a while. I wanted to make sure my Captain is still sharp." He said and i smiled as Deku took my empty plate.

"I still am kinda just tired." I said getting up and limping to the couch.

"I know same here. Seriously tho are you ok? Do I need to stop by." He asked and i sat on the couch watching Deku wash dishes.

"Yes I'm sure. I'm fine I have my own 66 here." I said and he hummed.

"Shadow is this about that night?" I asked him quietly so the hero wouldn't hear.

"Maybe. Y/n you almost lost your life because of me not to mention Hanako." He said sadly and I leaned back on the couch.

"That's in the past there was nothing you could do anyway." I explained and he scoffed.

"There was plenty I could have done." He said and I shook my head.

"Out of everything she's not apart of anyones mistake but mine. I wasn't able to save her and that's on me. I was there I fought for her and I still lost even when I was best on the team." I explained looking at the teen who appeared in the corner and he sighed.

"This feels like old times and I don't like it." He said and I nodded as Deku walked over.

"Hopefully nothing else like that happens I'll make sure of that." I said and he hummed.

"I know you will." He said and hung up.

I sighed and put my phone down.

"Who was that?" Deku asked and I sighed.

"Just a client asking funeral stuff." I said and he smiled at me.

"You look tired." He said and I nodded.

"Yeah I really am." I said and he put a pillow on his lap and patted it.

"Here you can lay right here. Your body needs the sleep to heal." He said and I looked at him and raised a eyebrow.

"What? It's a innocent offer a pillow on top of my lap." He said and I sighed and laid my head on his lap.

"Fine but only for a little bit."
