Ch.15

I completely avoided him after that.

I stayed in my room for hours.

"I can't believe you did that." I growled as I cleaned my sniper.

"I thought you wanted it." The teen said and I sighed.

"Hanako that doesn't mean make it happen." I growled and she just giggled disappearing.

I sighed upset with her. Usually she can't touch anything. It was a big mistake and I was just stressed.

This is the opposite of what I wanted. I'm not supposed to get close to anyone especially with me now involved with a mission.

That's how we were trained. We aren't supposed to care about these things nor want them. Even when I was retired I lived by those rules because that's how I'm programmed.

I did date someone but I never gave them the attention they deserved. I avoided any sexual contact with them. They only kissed me once and I avoided it after that.

Sure I fuck around with guys at the bar but that's mostly for free drinks. Hell the other night has to be as far as I have gotten with anyone.

I growled as I put my gun back together. I put it aside and slipped off the bed. I sat on the floor my head on my hands.

I sighed frustrated and disappointed in myself. If boss finds out I'm so dead.

My phone then started ringing. I looked and it was my boss.

"Fuck." I whispered and answered it.

"Yes?" I asked and he didn't even say hi.

"You and Shadow have a mission on your own. Pick you up in 10 minutes." He said and hung up. I sighed and got my stuff together and walked out.

"Hey C/n where you going?" The hero asked and I sighed as I walked to the door.

"Work." I said and he hummed looking at me over the couch.

"You alright?" He asked sweetly as my hand touched the handle.

"No I'm not." I said and open the door.

"Wait Y/n." He said and I closed the door before he could say anything.

A little later.

"I hate this Shadow." I said looking through the scope.

"I know it's just us and this is extremely dangerous. Normally I wouldn't do this but new boss." He said and I sighed taking a guard out.

"Hey Shadow have you ever thought of just quitting to be with someone?" I asked and he sighed.

"Yeah I did but they ended up killing her so they didn't lose me." He explained and I sighed.

I looked through the scope as he was talking about something else until I saw a familiar face. I gasped when I realized who it was.

"Shadow abort mission." I said in a panic.

"What why I can't just." I cut him off.

"Wraith is here." I said and heard some wrestling in the mic.

"Shit." I got up and got my stuff making my way in the building.

I walked around my assault rifle in hand amid in front of me. A guy tried to attack me from the side and threw me into the wall. I turned my quirk on and the man went through me. I turned and stabbed a knife in his throat.

I kept moving but stopped when I felt something on my back.

"Fuck." I whispered and put my hands up.
