}{"So that's where you used to live?" Kōhei asked her, his signature scowl on his face as he watched Gina spray setting spray on her face for the 10th time this morning
It was Kōhei, Gina and Ryo sitting in the gym on the leather couches, the floor looking above the basketball court. Kōhei and Ryo sitting next to each other and Gina sitting in front of them, a coffee table between them. Kōhei was still interrogating her about what happened at Hope Hill which was 2 days ago and Gina didn't understand why he was still asking. It wasn't like she was directly talking to anyone from Oya— well she was but they were playing fucking soccer. She really wishes he would give it a rest. "For the last time" she scowled at him, fanning her face with her hands to dry the spray "yes, is there a problem?"
"yeah there's a problem!" Gina hated it when Kōhei got like this
She hated it when he criticized her hometown and her friends. "It's a fucking shithole Gina, that place looks like it's falling apart and what is it called? Murder Block? What the fuck? Didn't you say that fucking drug dealer gang used it as their base? Why do you even—"
Gina blocked out his words and sighed, leaning back into the couch, setting spray clutched in her hand. "Gina!" Kōhei practically yelled when he realized she wasn't listening
"Oh my fucking god" Gina half-yelled at him, tired of his shit "it's 9 in the fucking morning! Give it a rest!"
Kōhei stopped and stared at her, still scowling and clearly having no intention to give it a rest. "You were with those kids from Oya, Amagai has a reason to be concerned," Ryo said from where he was sitting opposite of them "they're fucking yakuza reserves Gina. You can't be around people like them"
Gina snorted at his words. "Oh please," she said and couldn't stop the next words coming out of her mouth "Jamuo, Nakagoshi and Nakaoka would not survive a day in a yakuza"
Kōhei and Ryo narrowed their eyes at her. "So you're acquainted with them..." Ryo said and Gina's eye twitched
"Soccer, guys..." Gina said feeling tired now, grip on the setting spray bottle loosening in defeat "I have been playing soccer with all of them since 7 years old"
There was a moment of silence as Gina stared at the coffee table in front of her until Kōhei gestured for Ryo to give them both a minute and he made his way down the stairs to the indoor basketball court. Gina felt the couch dip next to her and an arm wrap over her shoulder. "Gina" Kōhei murmured barely above a whisper, probably so Ryo couldn't hear them from downstairs where he was waiting
Gina didn't look at him, completely ignoring him as he pulled her into his side. Kōhei used his free hand to pull the setting spray bottle out of her hand and placed it on the coffee table. "Hey, look at me come on" he urged gently, voice completely different than it usually is "you can't be mad. I just want you to be safe... You know that"
Kōhei's voice was always softer and sweeter when it was just the two of them(and when he wanted something from her). It was nice and it was Gina's favourite. Maybe that's why she always ended up listening to him. "Come on Gina" Kōhei urged once again and she gave in quickly as she always did
Gina looked up at him as he pulled her closer to his side. "That's my home Kōhei" she muttered, a sad look in his eyes "there was a reason I never took you there or showed you around. 'Cause I knew you wouldn't like it... I want to show you where I grew up like how you showed me yours but these things make it hard for me. You haven't even met my friends yet"
