Gigi opens her eyes and immediately hears the sound of something breaking. It's glass. She's on the kitchen floor and there's broken glass around her. She looks around and everything is hazy. Shouldn't she be in the hospital? The last thing she remembered was being at the hospital with Tsukasa. Fujio and Sachio had gone to get them something to eat. She should be at the hospital but why is she on Kōhei's kitchen floor surrounded by broken glass? Gigi tries to speak but nothing comes out. She looks at her hands and then realizes she's in a dream. Gigi remembers reading about lucid dreaming from one of the psychology books Todoroki owns. It was extremely rare to have 5 fingers in a dream. Most of the time, your hand will directly look really weird and it will be obvious that you have more or less than 5 fingers. But it can also happen that your hand looks normal and when you'll begin to count your fingers, more and more will appear. Gigi counted 4 on her left hand even though it looked like 5. "this a dream" she thinks or tries to say but nothing comes out of her mouth
"Gina?" Kōhei's voice sounds panicked
Gigi looks up from where she's sitting on his kitchen floor. His hair is out of its usual style, fallen in front of his forehead and eyes. He's wearing grey sweatpants and an oversized white shirt and his cheeks are flushed. Kōhei looks like he's just woken up. He walks over quickly, bare feet somehow avoiding all the glass on the floor. "oh no, how did this happen?" he crouches down in front of her, grabbing hold of her hands that are suddenly filled with cuts and all bloody
The blood smears onto Kōhei's pale unmarred skin. Gigi's throat hurts. She wants to say something— anything— but nothing comes out. Or it eventually does but it doesn't sound like her own voice. It sounds like someone else. "I—I don't know... I'm sorry" Gigi keeps her eyes on his "I'm sorry don't be mad"
Why is she dreaming of him? Why? Even if she is, why hasn't she hit him yet? Why hasn't she hurt him? Why is she letting him hold her like this? Gigi feels more and more questions arise as each moment passes. His thumbs rub over her knuckles and the pain in her throat gets worse. He's looking at her with this soften look in his eyes. The same way he'd look at her before things started to go down hill between them. "It's okay, it's okay," Kōhei says gently and lets go of her hands "I'll clean it up, it's okay"
His hands come up to hold her face and he wipes away her tears. Gigi doesn't realize she'd been crying. Gigi feels like she's in pain but the pain isn't real. She knows it isn't real because this is a dream but oh how everything hurts. She closes her eyes and lets out a shuddering breath as he runs his fingers through her hair. Gigi realizes her hair is long in this dream and it just makes things even worse. "you're so pretty when you cry" she hears Kōhei whisper sounding endeared "but I don't like seeing you sad... It's okay baby, I'm going to clean it up for you... it's not your fault... it's okay"
All of a sudden he's really close and she can feel his breath on her cheek. Her eyes are still closed as she feels one of Kōhei's hands hold her cheek and the other run through the long strands of her hair. He's humming some random tune next to her ear and he pulls her in close and then hugs her. Gigi's chin hooks over his shoulder and it's like her body is moving on it's own as she hugs him back, her arms going around his neck while his go around her waist; she's in his lap now. "Kōhei" her voice finally comes out and it finally sounds like her
