Gigi remembers the day Kōhei asked her out pretty vividly. She remembers sitting next to him on the balcony attached to his room when he pulled the fleur-de-lis necklace out of his pocket and asked her to be his girlfriend. It wasn't much but it made Gigi happy. Like really happy. She had talked about it to Todoroki, Tsuji and Shibaman for a week until she told the rest of the boys who were no doubt happy because she was happy. They were never big fans of Amagai even if they'd never met him but still, for Gigi they'd stay quiet. But even then, Kōhei cheating on her and using her was something they hadn't expected because of how many good things they'd heard about the group heir from Gigi. The texts, the dates, the gifts, the flowers, everything Kōhei had done for Gigi— it made no sense to them. Had Kōhei really gone that deep into his hatred for Oya High and his craving for power that he used a girl and not just any girl but someone the entire district of SWORD adored?
There's always been some sense of honour the Oya High students held. Some agreement between the factions who know each other; no weapons, don't kick someone while they're down unless they fight back first, and the eye-for-an-eye rule always stands.
It was no clear to everyone who heard the story of Gigi's breakup that this was some kind of step up. Gigi had been playing a game she didn't even know she was a part of and that, to the boys of Oya High School, was completely unacceptable.
Gigi was strong, they all knew that. She was no fragile little princess who needed to be spoon-fed but even the boys of Oya High School were not that cruel to play a game of hearts. The heart was the most fragile part of the body. Everything else, your ribs, arms, legs, hands, fingers and even your brain(evidence of that being Yasushi) can be healed or replaced with something else thanks to modern-day technology. But the heart, oh how hard it is to replace that fragile little part of the body.
That's why Todoroki told her, he told her and promised her while she cried into his arms late into the night that he'd tear through all the tissue, the muscle and pry open Amagai's ribs with his bare hands and rip out his heart and gift it to her on a gold platter. Poetic, of course. It would be a little disappointing if he wasn't because of the number of books he reads. Tsuji and Shibaman who seemed to have awoken that night at the sound of sniffles and whimpers promised as well.
Anything, they'd do anything to make her feel better. Anything to stop her from doing anything worse. For now, it's only cars she's setting on fire, Todoroki, Tsuji and Shibaman hope the size of things she sets aflame doesn't increase into houses or buildings— or well... people.
Sadism and masochism was a common trait among people in SWORD and once again Gigi was a product of her environment. No one at Oya really noticed this common trait they all had. Even if someone did, they didn't care enough to act upon it, to end this vicious cycle of aggression and violence that's been going on for years and years. Because well, it was fun.
But it was only all fun and games till someone actually got hurt.

Reiji wasn't going to lie and say this whole thing wasn't stupid. It was really stupid. "I don't mean to rain on your perfect plan Amagai," Reiji said dryly as they were all getting ready to leave
He liked saying things last minute because watching people panic over things they didn't consider was funny, "but this whole alliance is filled with guys who have had their asses beat by someone in Oya at some point in their life... Not me though, sucks for you guys"
