}{The chain bracelet on her wrist felt heavy. Ever since she got home, she's been restless. Today would be something for the books. First, she finally made friends at Senomen(sure they're the stoner girls but they're fun). Then she kicked Numa Tsuda to the ground. Of course she can't forget about whatever that was that happened with Reiji. Reiji. He'd been on her mind since he left her in the alleyway to go to whatever meeting Kōhei had called him to. Once Reiji had left the alleyway, Gigi took a few steps back till her back hit the wall, her knees feeling weak. She slid down the wall, sitting in a fetal position, forehead falling to rest on her knees. Now she just couldn't fall back to sleep. The silver chain on her wrist felt heavy but not heavier than her heart. Gigi's phone buzzed.
Gigi didn't realize she'd been smiling at his texts the whole time but once she caught herself, she smacked herself and slammed her phone down on the side table next to her bed. It was a miracle her phone didn't crack with the amount of force she used. She looked the time on the clock in her room— 2:12. A sigh left her lips as she fell back dramatically on her bed, staring up at the ceiling, glow-in-the-dark stars pasted over the white expanse. Something Tsuji, Todoroki, Shibaman and her had done together when she had just moved in with her stepfather. It was a day to remember— Shibaman shoving a pillow inside his shirt and acting like a pregnant woman thinking it was going to get him out of actually having to do work, followed by Tsuji taking a picture of him like that and sending it to the Oya High Full-timers group chat and Todoroki silently chuckling at their antics. It was a fun day. She wonders what her best friends would think when she tells them about Reiji. Or maybe she doesn't want to tell them. Reiji was her little secret. But what happened today was a bigger secret.
"Ah~ you're killing me Gigi"
It was almost like she could still feel his hands on her face and— lips on her cheek. Gigi's hand came up to touch her cheek where he'd kissed and her face turned red. The memory made her knees feel weak. She brought her wrist up, looking at the silver chain bracelet around her wrist, something twisting almost painfully in her chest. She's seen Reiji with it every time she's with him and now he's given it to her. It was weird. Why did he give it to her? But then again, why had Gigi given him her grandmother's hairpin at the festival? Gigi felt like she was going crazy from all the questions and all the confusion. Why was she doing this? "Gina? Are you awake?"
Oh, she forgot she had a boyfriend.
"hm, yeah" Gina didn't bother getting up from where she was laying on her back on her bed "what'd you want?"
She heard her door close and a few seconds later she felt the bed dip next to her. Gina turned her head to see Kōhei laying next to her, face illuminated by the warm glow of the fairy lights she had up. "I wanted to apologize" Kōhei said, laying on his side, facing her
Gina's eyes widened. "You want to... Apologize?" she turned her body to face him as well
Kōhei reached out and rested a hand on her cheek, his thumb rubbing along her cheekbone. Gina's eyes fell shut, the fleur-de-lis necklace sliding out from where it had been tucked beneath her shirt. "I realized I maybe overlooked a lot of things... I'm sorry" he said softly
Gina opened her eyes again, meeting Kōhei's eyes. They were different than Reiji's— while his were filled with mischief and looked bright without any underlying motive, Kōhei's eyes looked dark and cruel, the kind that really makes you doubt what you were saying and what he was saying. But love was blind and Gina didn't really see any of the bad things. Or she did but they were muted with bright shades of red. "It's okay" she didn't think twice before accepting his apology
It was the first time he had apologized after all. Kōhei smiled softly and his arm trailed down to rest on her back for a few moments before her pulled her in closer, wrapping Gina up in his arms. "hm, so tell then, what'd you do this weekend? How was the festival?" he asked, stroking her hair gently
Gina smiled, looking up at him, her arms going around him as well. She'd tell him everything, leaving out the details of Oya High School, Housen and of course Reiji.
Kōhei slipped out of bed, running his fingers through the white strands of his hair. Gina was fast asleep, snoring softly in her bed, face dug into a pillow. The white-haired boy had a blank expression on his face as he headed for the desk in her room and without hesitation, opened a drawer and shuffled through it as quietly as he could till his hand touched a photo album. Pulling it out and flipping through a few pages, he slipped a few photos out of the clear sleeves and slipped the photos into his jacket pocket that he'd discarded on the chair when he first entered. Kōhei quickly closed the photo album and put it back into the drawer and headed back to bed. Wordlessly he slipped under the covers, pulling Gina back over into his arms. She shifted a little bit before settling down, her hand fisting his shirt. "hmm..." Kōhei's face remained blank as he stroked her hair, gazing down at her face
