He nodded. "Yeah it was but I fought through it. But hey can I ask you something?" I took a drink of water and nodded. "Do you know anything about The Twins of Destruction?" I swallowed hard at the name. I remember the last time I saw my friends. I remembered watching as they got experimented on. I even remembered when I captured them for the experimentation. I shuttered at those thoughts. I nearly forgot that I was sitting with Bucky. I finally came to when he put a blanket around me. I sent him a warm smile then take a breath.
"The Twins and I are partners. We trained together, completed missions together. We were one of Hydra's Elite Death Squads. We were the ones who did all their dirty work. We could hide in plain sight, speak more than 30 language's, we could even take down an entire country in less than a day and no one would see us coming." Bucky looked at me in shock. I looked away from him and chuckled. "I know I might sound crazy but..."
He shook his head. "No it doesn't. Trust me I know what you had gone through. Because I was one of their experiments." I looked at him. Both of us stared at each other for a minute or two. "And I don't know if you remember, but you helped me on one of my missions." I gave him a puzzled look. "The mountain side near Odessa." Once he said that, my memory of that mission started to flood my mind. I remembered the orange haired girl that I had saved from the shot she took.
I remembered having to clean up the blood at the scene. Having to stop the car long enough for that girl and guy to jump out. Then every time it came to the guy that I helped, his face was always a blur in my head. Then I remembered why I went out there to help him.
"You're the Winter Soldier, aren't you?" He nodded. Once I finish my water, I put my cup on the coffee table. "You were one of the guys I had to fight to pass my initiation."
He chuckled. "Yeah. You pack a punch. That's why I told Tony not to fight you." I gave him a confused look.
"I remember every time we came into any sort of contact; they would wipe my memory immediately after." His eyebrows furrowed.
"I remember that. And I always wondered why. At least I did until now," he said. I looked at him and just seemed to stare for a moment.
"Bucky, what's your name. Your full name?"
"James Buchanan Barnes." I gasped and my eyes went wide. He is my brother. The Winter Soldier is my brother. He was right there this whole time and I didn't realize. That only confirmed that my flashback was right. I let out a held breath. He smiled slightly; he knew I remembered him now. I didn't know what to do with myself at that point. He put his hand on my shoulder and I looked at him. "Hey sis," he said. I chuckled and put my hand over his.
