"Alright listen up. Bucky and I will head for him. You four will gather weapons and suit up," Steve said. We all nodded and started to go our separate ways.
"Bucky," Natasha called. I turned around and she came to me. She grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me into a kiss. I place my arm around her and pulled her close. Her hand slides from my neck to my chest as she pulled away. "Good luck," she said then took off after Storm, T'challa, and Sam. I turned to Steve and he's smiling at me.
"You shut it. Let's go," I said. We sprinted towards the elevator. The door wouldn't open, so Steve and I forced it open. Shocker, the elevator was dropped several stories down. They cut the main power supply for the elevator. Steve and I ran up the stairs to the Nova level. When we made it to his door, he's talking to someone.
"Look at you brother! Is this how you expect to gain her favor? You have just been beaten to a bloody mess by her newly found brother! And you still want to be with her?" I look at Steve. I could tell he heard it too.
"Who else is in there with him," Steve asked. I shrugged.
"Yes, I do! Listen to my sister, the pain is worth it! All I care about is that these people help her," Loki exclaimed.
"You've only known her for what, an hour maybe? How can you be so sure that she is the one for you?"
"I don't understand it either. But when I'm around her, I'm allowed to be myself. I feel more like me when she's near," Loki explained.
"How do you know for sure? You were only close to her for a small period of time."
"I know because I haven't felt this way since Mother died."
I type in the code and the door opened. And go figure, it was his sister Navera. When I step into the room, she held a blade to my throat.
"I should kill you where you stand," she said.
"Navera not now, please. Loki listen, we need your help," Steve said
"Is that so? And what might your trouble be this time," he asked as he stood up.
"Kida," I said. His face turned serious.
"Is she alright?" Steve started to fill Loki in on what happened. "So you're saying that I'm the only one that can save her?" I nodded
"Yes. She even said so herself." Navera looked at him.
"Brother, you aren't actually thinking about..." He gave us his famous devilish grin.
"Oh yes. But it just may be the only thing that will free her." I look at him and turn him towards me.
"Wait what do you mean 'free her," I asked. He sighed.
"She's being controlled, Barnes. She doesn't know by who, but she told me about it. And I think I may be the only one able to save her." I grabbed Loki by his shirt and pulled him to me. Navera put a blade tip at the back of my head.
"I'd choose your next words and actions wisely," Navera warned.
"Hey, hey, easy," Steve said as he put his hand on her shoulder.
"Just listen to me! I need you to save her! There is no maybe! I need you to be sure that this will work! I can't lose her again do you hear me," I said as I shook him slightly.
"I never said I wasn't going to save her. I will bring your sister back to us. You have my word," Loki said. He looked sincere when he said it. I let go of him and gave him his knives.
"Let's go," I said with a smirk. I held out a fist and he gave me a fist bump. We left the room and he started talking us through what was going to happen.
"Listen. As she told me, she is linked to the twins. They are all psychologically connected somehow. So if I free her..."
"He'll free them all," Navera finished.
