***Bucky's P.O.V***
Whatever Alex gave Kida it made her eyes shift colors. They changed from a piercing purple, to deep blue, earthy green, a fiery color, then to black pits.
"I see it," she said while looking upward. "I was walking home one day from work. I took my normal short cut to get home when I was attacked. That was when I met my creator. When they finally took the needles out of my skin, they took me to another room and threw me inside," she looked at me, "They locked me in the room. And in front of me stood a man with long brown hair, metal arm, and an emotionless expression; it was you. When you looked at me you immediately recognized me, and you snapped out of the trance. We attempted to embrace each other but guards got to me first."
Then she started to speak in another language; the native language of Alex and Hunter. Suddenly, all four elements appeared and started circling around her. Her eyes stayed pitch black. And whatever she had in her hand was inside of her clenched fist.
"We have to get her to let go of that or else this entire half of the building will not be here in the morning," Alex exclaimed. I stood up and stepped in front of her.
"This life is nothing but an illusion. Filled with lies, hatred, pain, sorrow, revenge." The wind started to pick up, spinning the elements around her even faster. I reached for her fist and I started to see all that she had described; her being taken away from me by guards. That was also when they erased my memory for the first time. I managed to pry the object out of her grasp and tossed it to Alex. Kida's eyes changed back to normal, the elements disappeared, and the wind stopped. She looked at me and stared into my eyes for a while.
As I stared into hers, I remembered seeing those eyes when I snapped out of the trance for the first time. I remember now. I remember it all. She, then, started to cry. She leaned her head into my shoulder and cried. I wrapped her into a hug. "They lied! All of it was a lie! I'm just done with it. I've been lied to my whole life and just once I would like to hear the truth," she said in between her cries.
I stroked her hair. Remembering everything from when she was taken was a lot to comprehend all at once. Even for me.
"Well here is one thing that is true. You are the most exquisite women that I could ever ask for as a sister. No matter what happened then, you will always be my sister," She laughed and sniffed. I looked into her eyes and I could tell that she couldn't believe it. When I looked at her, the first time I saw her, I felt like a knew her; Which explained how I was able to get out of the trance. Now that I found her, I can't afford to lose her. She's all that I have left. She buried her face in my chest.
"I love you brother." I felt something swell inside along with a strange wave of regret. I leaned my face into hers.
"I love you too. And I promise that I won't let anything happen to you." She looked up at me as a single tear trickled down her cheek.
"Don't make promises you can't keep." I smiled slightly. I grabbed her head and planted a kiss on her forehead. When I did, she grabbed a hold my waist. When I pulled away, she let me go.
Then Alex took her out of the room. I sat down on the couch and let out a sigh. Steve sat next to me; nudging me with him arm.
"Hey. What's up with you?"
"Have you ever made a promise that you couldn't keep. But you didn't care whether it was keep able or not. Just as long as you never broke that promise," I asked looking straight ahead. Nick, Hunter and Steve looked at me funny. Steve chuckled.
"Yes Buck. I have. You should know more than anyone." I looked at him and chuckled.
"So Hunter. You and Kida hm?" Nick said with a smile. Steve was cheesing too. Hunter's face turned cherry red. I must have glared at him or something because he started to turn as red as fire.
"Yo Hunt. You alright man?" He nodded and looked away; trying to stop himself from turning any more red.
"Yeah. It's just kinda weird to talk about in front of you guys. Especially with Kida's brother. And given the fact that I hardly know any of you," he said, gesturing to me and then the others. "Plus, that kiss was more impulsive then anything if I'm being honest." I lifted an eyebrow at him.
"So you don't actually like her," Steve asked.
"Oh no, no, no. You've got it all wrong. I really like her, and I wish we were more than just friends. But with what we've been through together and with what she's been through on her own, she needed her space."
"Explain the kiss then," Nick spoke as he leaned back.
"Well I just felt that I wasn't going to get the chance again so it was like 'what the hell'." His face started to flush when the words just left his lips. "Just please don't hurt me." Nick, Steve and I laughed.
"Don't worry. I'm not gonna hurt you. Just don't hurt her and we'll be alright. Also don't do anything to her off of impulse again or we will have a problem," I said. He nodded and let out a sigh of relief. Steve then spoke up.
"Who screamed in here? Was that before or after your impulsive kiss," he asked. Hunter chuckled.
"That was after. She dislocated my shoulder during our spar. While we were kissing, she popped it back in. She used the kiss as a distraction for me...and most likely to make the situation less awkward," he replied as he moved his shoulder. I chuckled to myself. Sounds like my sister, I thought.
